Pretty ballsy of them to have WoW as the first announcement if the leaked screenshots are true. Unless it's because F2P announcement.
Nice to see that we have already reached the point in the thread where following it is basically impossible unless you refresh constantly.
Hopefully I won't miss anything important. So far seems like I just managed to avoid the woke debate.
The world revamp dream will never die!
I'd be a little surprised if it wasn't. When it got announced, the buzz from some of the people working on it indicated it was in a playable state. Jez Corden of Windows Central, while not a 100% reliable leaker overall, has more credit in the Microsoft space and has claimed that it's near completion earlier this year. LinkedIn credits indicate it's been in development since 2018.

Any bets on F2P WoW starting with 11.0?

We will probably get another legitimate-looking leak today.

The massive amount of players who would start playing with F2P almost always outweighs the people who leave. Especially with subscription/costly games going F2P (AKA it would effect WoW much more than something like OW going F2P because WoW is so much more expensive to play)

I have nothing against a F2P model at the base, provided it is properly protected against bot bullshit and it doesn't become another Lost Ark

Blizzard won't be that dumb to make subscribers feel like they loose value.
With instruments like Trading Post they can encourage subscribes to continue being subscribers, while F2P players will be able to play the game fully but, for example, get less monthly cosmetic rewards, less tendies etc.
I always thought Trading Post was the first bird foreshadowning F2P. It's very suitable tool to monetize the game without removing base game kit.
