Thematically it sounds cool but I just never enjoy those zones at all.
I’m sure such an expansion would offer above ground zones as well. I just think it would be rather cool to dynamic fly into a cave, through a tunnel with twist and and turns and exit into a huge cavern with a sprawling underground city beneath you.

... This feels really disrespectful, bro you don't know how complex and expensive is to build any large scale convention like Blizzcon.

Dragonflight hype was ruined by Scaleface. He leaked almost everything before the xpac announcement

Dear friends, there is still time to join #TeamGiraffe before the new giraffe model, one of the last old world models to still need an update, is inevitably revealed on Friday!

Remember, a vote for Team Giraffe is a vote for Team Revamp! Don't miss out on being a part of glorious revamp history!

(I just really want a giraffe on the hype train...)
    give up dat booty

As long as the tunnel is a bit less annoying than the Valdrakken <-> Zaralek one and allows me to go at higher speeds without running into the walls. I get that is part of the point of it as if you go too fast you run into errors/freezes, but would be great if that was improved. Maybe just a long-ass downwards tunnel instead of a sidewards one.

It's 4pm in Irvine. If we assume rehearsals were around noon (5-6 hours ago), that means they were still doing "loud construction" a mere two days before the opening ceremony. The last scheduled event at the convention center prior to BlizzCon was October 21. Two days later, Blizzard showed us pictures on Twitter of their props being finalised. Something tells me they would have finished all the biggest hurdles at some point during those ~10 days, and not leave it until actual rehearsals begin.
The props were created and finalized before being moved to the convention center, not created during it. The "construction" is putting everything up and making sure it's in working order. Even a small sized con is daunting task when it comes to the sheer amount of things to put up. Monitors and PCs need to be tested, wires need to be bundled and secured under carpeted areas so they don't cause a tripping hazard, walls need to be placed and tested to make sure they can hold whatever is attached to them and won't fall on hundreds of people bumping into them, stages need to be set up if one isn't already part of the convention hall and tons of small little things no one ever thinks about. Chances are they will be finalizing and putting the finishing touches on things right up to a few hours before the doors open.

As opposed to backpedaling fruitlessly on being hopelessly naive on how any of this works?

If you have a pie in the sky, rambling belief that Blizzard might announce multiple expansions and continents at once and have expressed unrealistic expectations for every part of it, despite the AAA industry being in an absolute shitshow and a company that's still in a transitionary period, it's not unreasonable to think you might also be ignorant of how much of an undertaking it is just to run something like this out of Anaheim.

There's nothing to argue. You made an assertion with nothing to indicate it was a joke. You got called out rightfully. Everything you share exudes a child-like naivety about Blizzard as a whole and basic insight into how complicated these things are, this being just one of them.

Anyone who's ever done a risk assessment for something minor knows how much of a ballache something of this scale must be.

I have to disagree here. Making the tunnel have sharp turns and whatnot feels better than the likely alternative of just one long straight tunnel. Maybe if the tunnel was straight down and it gave you a chance to try dodging stuff while in the diving animation maybe, seeing as that is a movement you don't see used too often I feel.
The world revamp dream will never die!

I think most players would be fine with this if the next expansion really is bombastic and delivers on all fronts like Legion back in the day. That’s really the only plausible scenario where a 10.3 Avaloren makes any sense.
I doubt that's the only scenario where it's "real".

In fact 11.0 could be Avaloren even with the Trading Post items talking about Titans and Void Lords. There's no reason an Avaloren story couldn't tackle those themes and, perhaps I missed some post, but I'm not sure why anyone thinks Avaloren couldn't or wouldn't be about bigger story points than just "a fun little island adventure". I think people see those 4 zone screenshot 'leaks' and just instantly assumed it's going to be a boring expansion about nothing, with a slow paced plot, or not bombastic. In reality no one would even know what an Avaloren expansion even entails, why we would go there, how we'd go there or any of it. Everyone is creating a worst case scenario in their heads and pretending like that's the only outcome if that feature overview says "New Continent: Avaloren", just because its not their personal ideal expansion setting they've been hyping up in their head.

BFA was kino AS LONG AS YOU NEVER FELL BEHIND THE CURVE basically.

I remember friends returning for 8.3 being so disheartened by having to grind Nazjatar for the essence there etc and catch up on the HoA whereas I could roll alts and just buy r3 essences at the vendor.

Expecting risk assessment experience may be a lot for someone who acts like they've never held a full-time job, sadly.

Plus 5 masking visions was legitimately one of the most engaging solo things they've ever added
I remember boosting friends in 5 mask visions on my hunter, clearing up to a boss and then running back to ress them so they'd get credit, rinse and repeat for each boss and still have enough sanity left. Such a fun experience, only thing to ever top it was doing the green fire boss in 5.2 when it was brutally hard.

I might regret not spending more time in Dragonflight if the next expansion is good.

The synopsis of War of the Scaleborn sounds positive. I was expecting it to be more anti-Titan, and that Tyr would be portrayed as evil. On the contrary the primalists seem less sympathetic.

If the sharp turns were easier to deal with and better visible then I'd be fine with it, but the Zaralek tunnel, at least for me is often disorienting. One long straight tunnel would be boring too for sure, but some mid-point there and maybe going straight down instead of sidewards as the Zaralek one does would be fine.

What about 1 or 2 underground zones with 3 or 4 above ground zones?

I personally hope if Xal'atath is the main cinematic character that she sings us a creepy lullaby drawing us to the expansion area, but narration would be awesome too.

200 years in the future. Maybe even 500.
