I don't know either really, it seems like an extremely petty thing to waste energy on and get upset about with this amount of information when the information isn't even verified yet. So much wasted energy.
Datamining would legitimately never be the same again.![]()

Blizz doesn't typically do non-mirrored textures, though. Plus it just doesn't look right. OOne of the reasons I've settled on it most likely being fake, the texture just doesn't match how Blizzard do their textures.
I'd also point out the Direhorn's body. If you know the mini-pet direhorn, notice that it has actual segments built into the in the model to look like its made of stone, not just the texture. But the direhorn? Its just the stock Direhorn model retextured to look like it has cracks. Like, the Direhorn from MoP and a new texture just laid on top of it rather than a proper remold. Even the owlbears we're getting next patch got more work done to them to stand out to regular bears than that
EDIT:
I mean, revamp crew probably upset its not a revamp but like. Odds are really low on this expansion being a revamp anyway so I think they're ready for that. But the pictures just look bad. If this the best they can do for "The big new World of Warcraft expansion being revealed at Blizzcon, the big Blizzard convention", and its basically easy to confuse with someone mucking about with making fake stuff (and not even like, good fake stuff, the old pre-TBC fake Pandaren model someone made decades ago looks better), then it isn't a good sign for a good expansion

Personally not a fan of ALL transmog restrictions being removed.
Weapon must be shared, but I'd prefer armor being restricted within armor types, so cloth class can wear any cloth gear whether it's priest, mage or warlock, but not plate, leather or mail.
We‘re venturing to a brand, mysterious, magically hidden new continent on the other side of Azeroth that was completely remote from the evolution on Azeroth. Wow, life must be totally different there, right? Oh no, it’s not, it’s exactly like Azeroth.
What do we find there? A Dwarfen civilization that has the same statue as the Wildhammer clan, Harpies that look exactly like the ones on Azeroth (okay, they’re electro-cute-d) and flora / biomes that look exactly like everything else on Azeroth.
Sorry, this couldn’t really be worse than that.
Yes yes this make sooooo much sense.

Make Alliance Great Again
I will not reply to posts that are non-constructive or contain flaming and/or trolling.
Because they look boring. And since this is presumably the features trailer than only tends to use the choicest shots, it paints a poor picture of the overall expansion.
It honestly just comes down to a simple question of why we see these images, and not the ones with exciting new architecture, iconic landmarks, new NPC models, or exciting new gameplay features.
It could just be the most boring shots from the trailer, though that feels unlikely given four images being a large sample size when seemingly not taken in succession.
The world revamp dream will never die!

Yeah, I was thinking for some time whether it's possible, i.e. based on historical data, if Algarian Stormrider could have been some sort of red herring implanted by Blizzard on purpose, so that any legit leak that potinetially goes public and does not include Khaz Algar, will be met with much more resistance and disbelief, since it won't line up with what has been datamined (which serves to some degree as a source of truth). That would give Blizzard the upper hand with almost no effort and create a pretty interesting precedent for future![]()
There's so much armor type agnostic gear now, like Heritage sets, trading post gear, Holiday items like the lovely dresses, etc. that armor type restrictions are honestly just an unnecessary limitation now. If you want to look like a caster in plate you can, if you want to be a Death Knight tank that looks like a caster you can. This would just let people be even more creative with their sets.

personally, I'm upset about it not only because all the stuff in it looks low quality, (the vistas are okay) but mostly its because I don't want another Dragonflight, not because Dragonflight was bad, but because another 4 zone island that doesnt have anything unique (from what we can see in this preview) would be hard to want to spend 2 years doing things on. other zone previews from previous expansions have a bit of "awe" about them, this feels like they took some bits from BfA and a bit from WoD and called it a day.

Also, I haven't really seen people talk about this 'leak' yet, I think it could be cool if they handle it properly. Timetravel doesn't have to be bad or boring per definition.

Yeah that's fair I guess. The grassy direhorn makes me think of Zuldazar, while it was a great zone, it got really stale.
