The 4 Avaloren screenshots are fake imo, but since people were discussing the hands on the dwarf, this is how I personally interpreted it. I thought their index and middle finger were fused into a glowy icicle thing. Am I the only one who sees it this way?

Just checked the old Shadowlands site because it reminded me of that style, but that used different buttons etc.

honestly, timetravel stuff was on my cards for the next expansion. And it could fit Avaloren/Khaz Algar into it, as the accounts for those locations are old. So, perhaps we the players are the reason Avaloren is Heretic and the Khaz Algar earthen are dwarflike culturaly, because we travel back in time with a bunch of dwarves who will influnece the earthen to become dwarf like.

I mean arguably we've gone back in time once, we've fought in the Dream. There's precious little preventing them from playing with time as a theme in general. Seeing as we prevented Noz from becoming evil we've already fucked the timeline.

This might have something to do with 20 years wow anniversary. Remember 15 years with white marble box?

What if going to Avaloren isn't purely about where but also when? It could be a time travel expansion, with Ancient Avaloren and Ancient Kalimdor, and then 12.0 is the full present day revamp. Kalimdor and Avaloren could share a lot of assets (reason for reuse in the 'leaked' images), the desert zone could definitely be the Barrens with some tweaks, likewise the jungle zone and Feralas.
