Really hoping they give dracthyr more classes. Dying to playing a holy lizard

I love this time in the thread; we're so antsy and bored waiting we're now deciding if those weird lizardpeople are Dragons or not (hint - no, ew.)

The problem is that there was no progress on those plotlines during the timeskip. The Amirdrassil plot only moved forward on the Dragon Isles. The Forsaken heritage questline is just bizarre, because it ostensibly takes place 3 years after the 9.2.5 questline of initially cleansing Lordaeron, but the characters talk like it just happened yesterday. Gilneas is in a similar boat: Danuser chose to namedrop the reclamation of Gilneas in a post about the timeskip shortly after bringing it up in the Lordaeron questline. Whatever 11.0 is, if Gilneas ends up has no part in it, why are they bringing it up? You need to actually show that things are happening in these stories, you can't just name that they exist every couple of years and act like it's the same as the world actually progressing. At some point, it just becomes absurd that nothing is happening.
The timeskip from WC2 to WC3 advances the state of the world. You see the Alliance splintering, becoming complacent and inept. You see the Horde go from a world conquering army to a scattered band of disparate refugees struggling to adopt a new identity. Timeskips can be used effectively, but the one pre-DF doesn't accomplish anything at all. I'm fully convinced that they came up with it quickly as a means to try handwaving why they don't want to write the ramifications of the Alliance and Horde being in a genocidal war for existence immediately prior: just say 3 years passed and everyone is cool now.

Christ, my F5 button is almost broken and still 21hrs left![]()
