Checking in from the con, I am standing near the entrance to hall D, you can see them testing AV, one of the Ads running is a wow ad I can not tell details as there is a pillar in the way but it ends with "coming to Xbox Game Pass"

What leak stated wow is going to game pass? That's the one that is right.

Could not get a pic without it being potato quality.

I do not think any of the major leaks have confirmed Xbox Game Pass, but I also would not be surprised if WoW was coming to consoles. I had mentioned a few days ago that several streamers said the announcement would be monumental and probably a little divisive...that would be in that category of both.

The result was ART, he later confirmed it as Artificer, not Satyr

No it wasn't. The puzzle involved "ART" and "two from eyes" which I mistook to mean two letters from eyes, YS ARTYS = SATYR.

But what the puzzle actually meant, as confirmed by the burner account itself was "two eyes" = I I, ART I (f) I (cer), a class.

If the base sub is on game pass, do we still need to buy expansions?

I guarantee they will be keeping the standard subscription. The 15 dollar version will include those 500 free traders tenders & the 8 dollar gamepass version won't. Plus the one thing we know for sure besides the Heroic edition mount is the Algaran Stormrider is that there are 3 tiers of paid expansion & each comes with tenders.

Honestly, they're probably just going back to the expansion being on the WoW website. There hasn't been a new blizz subdomain registered in over a month iirc, and I don't see them registering one in less than 20 hours till the reveal (unless they do, future-proofing this). The DF subdomain leak was probably a once and never again thing

Like, to be clear, this whole "omg guys look at this new subdomain" thing has happened 3 times now, all with WoW related terms.

First it was gryphon (the codename for Warcraft Rumble), then it was tempest (internal domain the team uses for build data and as well as the name for other stuff) and now Rift of Aln, which frankly we don't know what it is for, just that it points to HQ and has existed since at least 2021 -and- is under the battle.net domain which means it is highly unlikely to be for a product but is likely an (internal) service instead.

I'm not suggesting that it is what we're getting, we already know whats coming... but I am just saying that Hearthstone hasn't done the Emerald Dream/Nightmare stuff yet...

What if the real class is Artisan Chef, and we get a chef class?

The community feast, the final boss is a fire boss (like the basic cooking fire), and it obviously fits with adding support specs?

Also just passed the D4 hall and overwatch halls, both ending their overwatch 2 and D4 standard cinematics with "on xbox game pass"

Its like going "No no, they can't name an Elder Scrolls expansion Elsweyr, the average consumer won't know what that is!"

As someone who knows not much about the lore behind Elder Scrolls' setting, y'know what I'm gonna guess?

Seriously, of the many arguments people have about the title of an expansion, that's one of the sillier ones.

As someone who had no idea what "Wrath of the Lich King" or "The Burning Crusade" meant as I watched them installing on my computer for the first time, I always find it odd when I see people make an argument that WoW was as big or popular as it was back in the early days because of people's attachment to Warcraft 3, and that anything that can't be traced to a pre-WoW basis won't interest people very much. I guarantee the majority of people who have made a WoW account never knew jackshit about Warcraft 3, existence or story. Everyone saw the celebrity adds with Ozzy and Mr T and shit on their tvs during the height of popularity, and I bet most people who tried out WoW over the course of its lifespan did so because WoW itself was so popular and well known, not because of nostalgia for Warcraft RTS games.

If they do want to do the separate site thing, in today's day and age they can get away with setting up the subdomain, the certificate and the site itself right in the minutes before the announcement trailer is shown, if they've rehearsed/planned it well that'll go just fine.

They also *just* started selling a new year-long subscription package. Announcing that it’s coming to game pass right after people bought that would be sketchy at best.
