Yeah, they better make a banger. Short meaty plot, known characters, epic fight, WoD style.
Not some gryphon rider flying around with soi face.

Ideally I want Iridikron or a new villain narrating a feature trailer.
I'd like the Cinematic to be showing how we get to where we are going, in the case of something new. OR, in the case of a revamped world, a 'Best of' Overview of the World, kind of like a reverse Cataclysm where we watched all we love get destroyed maybe we see the world healing?

Where's room for expansion if they say "play dream patch" and "play classic" ? Only two demo areas for WoW.
Actually, it's the very first cinematic I never EVER checked on youtube again.
wod = couple of times (I know community see this as 1 of the top 3 cinematics... but orcs aren't my cup of tea)
Shadowlands? Watched it dozens of times.
MoP/Cata? Dozens +
Vanilla/TBC/WOTLK/BFA (yes, BFA) = THOUSANDS!!!!!!!!

NO WRATHGATE?! </3 :'(
Unbreak my heart!

I'm torn, but I think they're fairly definitively moving in the direction of advancing the narrative with the cinematics - which is totally fine. I do kinda miss the 'welcome to Azeroth/Outlands' vibes of the Vanilla and TBC cinematics though.
Still holding out for an actual Old God in a full cinematic though. I'd totally settle for Blizz quality Iridikron though, hnnnng

DF cinematic only has 3,2 mil views on YouTube.
SL 14 mil
BFA 29

Legion had the best in-game cutscenes. Legion cut-scenes had millions views, which is something other expansions couldnt achieve.
This is the result of Legion having gripping story and characters. People had fun watching them. Cut-scenes being epic helped as well.
It was the only Cinematic I did not watch live. I know multiple people who said the same thing. Blizzard really burned alot of people with SL and the Lawsuits. Dragonflight has, I feel, done a good job of showing they can still make a good game, now they just need to do it a couple times in a row.
Multiple friends have also expressed that they believe Blizzard has a pattern of good then bad and I can totally understand that sentiment. I'd bet good money that tommorow, whatever is revealed, is going to have a lot more traffic than Dragonflight did when it was announced.
