Speaking of Shadowlands, did they ever explain in game why the player (MawWalker!) was able to interact with the First One's stone in the Maw that let us teleport out?

wasn't it (badly) explained already? related to the power of HoA (Heart of Azeroth) we wore? Or did we still had HOA when we entered Shitlands? Can't remember now

For some reason I'm more nervous than hyped for Blizzcon. Regardless of what the expansion is I'm going to play it but I can't help but be nervous about what they are gonna announce.

Azerite sucked and the gameplay loop of needing to upgrade the neck on top of farming for the perfect gear sucked. If I want to grind I will go to Vanilla Reps not dungeons that already take 20 mins to play through. Those systems alone were honestly enough.

But then they added ON TOP OF IT with the Heart Inserts. Which was just as bad as Azerite Gear.

Then they added ON TOP OF IT with Corrupted Gear. Although Corruption was pretty fucking fun ngl.

Shadowlands and BFA both suffered from severe, and I do mean severe system bloat. Go back and play them now without the system bloat and you realize how horrendously bloated the content presented was. Shit even Argus was fucked beyond belief when it was current. I am really thankful the systems took a back seat this expansion and hope that, if the reprieve was just temporary, the new system(s) we get are much less hostile to gameplay.

I don't mean to sound like a fucking casual boomer, but I have like 4 hours a night a week to be home. At home. One dungeon is an hour. I am not grinding Azerite again.


It was a comment made, I believe by Ion and several other developers in the lead up to 10.1 and 10.2, I believe in a question about the Dragon Isles Expedition Renown Questline searching for that Vault/Tomb. Secrets of Azeroth was 100% an attempt to test if that kind of gameplay was received well too.

Kind of reminds you of the Theist Vs. Atheist dilemma a bit, no? In the end, humanity could never truly understand what lies beyond the stars, which is how they should play it with the First Ones. They were always there, that's all we need to know, and honestly... that is all we should know, other than the fact that the Old Ones are a force that lies outside of reality, via the Devourers, but I'm assuming they'd use the same logic?

I completely forget. It seems like I kept waiting for some explanation as the npcs were all like "Wow that's weird and amazing you can do that" and eventually stopped caring.

Yeah so Blizzard accidentally uploaded a pre alpha D4 2.0 build and didnt encrypt it properly so a russian group got ahold of it and datamined some shit...and thats the actual source of that information.

Obviously he could still be legit but hes not more credible than any other dude with a new account.

on more srs note, with how Blizzard staff were teasing things, i expect at least some major features like

4th spec for all classes, player housing etc.

This will be my only post.

World Soul:
-Avaloren is the "Bermuda Triangle" of Azeroth.
-Each zone has a surface half and an underground half. Underground is not like Zaralek, there are many different biomes like Journey to the Center of the Earth.
-Player housing ONLY in Avaloren. Different professions make different furniture and decorations via work order system.
-Some classes get new support specs like Bard Rogue and Gladiator Warrior, which uses shouts and banners to "hype up the crowd (raid)."
-Pre-order bonus unlocks all classes for dracthyr in future patch (10.2.7) except DK and DH. They start in Exile's Reach.
-Undermine Dungeon with Gallywix is in the pre-expansion event.
-Besides Algar dwarves there's a human kingdom with similar origins.
-There's also a race of ant people called myrmid/myrmin (not sure of the spelling). There are good black ants we ally with and evil fire ants who are the first raid.

That's all I know. Can't say how for obvious reasons.

I still like this leak from a thousand pages back. It remembered Dracthyr are supposed to get more classes, and the poster didn't make a thread for it, delete his account or stick around to argue. And player housing being an expansion feature at the start with professions making furniture instead of being able to place down props/etc seems like the type of implementation Blizzard would go for.

We're so close to Blizzcon. I should go to sleep now so I don't miss it lol

Dang, there is a lot I missed. Haha it is hard to keep up with. Then I would buy into the copium that they really want to keep this under wraps for something exciting. I'm not too confident in the story direction and I think Metzen is too new to have much of an impact yet, but gameplay-wise I feel they have learned their lessons. Holding out for some fun new features.

though DF cinematic was good untill dragons arrived and turned it into true 12+ game with waterfalls, rainbows and sparkles.

if you weren't hardcore raider/m+ pusher/gladiator level player that have to farm azerite 24/7 to compete - BFA was great. It was a bit buggy at the start of the addon and Azerite gear was kinda uninspiring at the start(there was a lot of feedback on beta about that). I'd say Expeditions failed miserably(locations were beautiful though), Warfronts were okeish but everything else was alright. Corruption was hillarious, i loved it.

I was never hardcore so BFA was more fun for me than for others. Still had questionable lore towards the middle and end, and needed some work, but ive always held it to at least average XPac by rankings.

Lore sucked, but man, I did love those zones and the gameplay.

It's an MMO though, so I didn't mind the grind and gameplay systems. I honestly hope,we get another grindy artifact weapon/cloak/etc and titanforging on random drops. Shit was massively entertaining to me.

I like random shit and gambling though. It's how I stock traded the past 15 years and still do. lol
