I think that's what they may be gunning for, I think Metzen eluded to it if I remember correctly. He didn't say yearly expansions, but he did say shorter expansion cycle I believe.

Like i said earlier this week or last week, some people have extreme talent in creating this kinds of 3D models on just drawings them with depth

They were so real that Metzen felt embarrassed by how early they were leaked and cooked up three entire new expansions to misdirect. Kind of sad, actually. But the fact that they weren't announced just prove how real they were

It’s easy to interpret what Metzen said as “we’re changing our expansion philosophy to start dishing out smaller expansions” and that’s not really exciting.

Just because they are "smaller" doesn't mean they can't be insanely good. Get real.

You're absolutely right if they released the next expac on its own it would be obvious how cheap and barebones it is announcing the world soul saga was the only way to make it hype

Pretty much. Considering what the majority of the people in this thread were all saying would be boring if we got it next expansion, it’s extremely telling to see them all going googoo gaga over what’s been announced. The shine will wear off in a few hours, I’m sure.

Creative Assembly recently decided to rush product, not do bug fixes, and double the price of all their DLC.

As you can imagine, it lead to some unhappy players.

I *almost* want it yearly jut because if War Within has this much I feel liek the next one will too.

Every WoW expac seems fun just a bit long in the tooth near the end.

Wonder if WoW 2 as was alluded to will basically be a WoW expansion that completes the revamp after these 3 expacs and updates... well most things.

Yeah I was thinking this. Chris very deliberately avoided discussing a full on revamp of the old world, just specific areas. But we know they are thinking on a revamp.

Three expansions - even short ones - worth of another team cooking in the background could actually deliver.
