If War Within is set 1-2 years after Dragonflight as expansions normally progress, he's 26-7

Thrall also has grey hair on his new model, dude must be pushing 50 at this point, it just shows more in a cinematic
I don't think Anduin can have a normal age applied to him anymore. Time moves differently in the Shadowlands and we have no idea how long he was in there from his point of view.

I am also willing to bet the Arathi will be Half-Vrykul but not fat like Kul Tirans.

Dragonflight is on this same schedule it seems like with no 10.3, so we've hypothetically already paid for less content twice

Honestly, I'm glad for people who are enjoying the thing, but personally I feel very conflicted.

Probably going to wait more interviews before making any conclusions for myself

Maybe/probably final update to this years hype train:

Honestly this super short non actiony cinematic of these absolutely amazing models makes me think this will be like in BfA with a series of cinematics.

Doesn't time not really apply in the shadowlands? I feel like I've heard that somewhere

He was 20 in BFA; so if we assume Shadowlands was a year - at most he's 28 in War Within, which to be fair is roughly how he looks in the cinematic - grizzled but he still has young eyes

I can't wait for the datamining and see if we get new race customisations with the next expansion!

I thought Anduin looked more closer to his mid 30s in the trailer, if not even Varian's age. He looks older than mid 20s.

Makes me wonder if we'll see more of the Nether as well tbh. Regardless, Midnight made it clear that we're simply "banishing them forever", and even then, things might not go to plan (it is Azeroth, afterall).

I do like that Blizzards doubling down on the whole "players are an unstoppable force" stuff tho. That's cool!
They said we're stopping the threat of the Void for good in Midnight.

For the record, to me personally, whilst the zones look lovely and Xal looks cool, I think what I’ve seen so far looks very, very underwhelming. I’m not a fan at all and this is the first time I’ve ever felt like this upon an expansion reveal.

I’m happy to be proven wrong when I do play it around launch time as that’s always going to be fun regardless but so far I am not impressed, and as a huge fan of this game, the “bad” expansions included like WoD and BfA, that’s a worrying sign for me. I was so hyped going into this Blizzcon with all the theories and expectations and this has just deflated me. This really does feel like filler because right now I’m more excited for Midnight and The Last Titan and just wish we could skip straight to that and have Xal’atath and the Nerubians as 10.3 patch content instead.

The early access feature is just the cherry on top.

I think that it is clear that after the 3 announced expansions we are getting a new Warcraft game. WoW 1.5 or WoW 2.0 or something else

Regarding the War Within, I have so many doubts. Good QoL changes, but Delves are seasonal? With seasonal rewards that you cannot get after the season is done like PVP? Hope that that is not the case.

I do not have a problem with an Underground continent but meh, I do not think that the zones would look very interesting, save for the Nerubian one.

Earthen allied race? I mean cool, but did someone asked for this?

Hero talents could be cool, we will see.

Ahhhh so many doubts. Right now I am leaning closer to leave the game, though. It seems that they want to charge us more money for less content.

    That is probably smart.

Me? I'm uncharacteristicly positive about this.

Well, you wont be paying, as you said. So what's the problem?
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

It's story relevance is in what Sargeras was trying to achieve with it. Not in what it is doing now.

I don't think the trailer was going for hype anyway. It was a more somber approach.

I am happy for warbands, hopeful for delves but what will sell me the expac is Hero Talents actually giving me multiple things I want.

I would bet every penny I own that we will see Illidan and a redeemed Sargeras returned at some point

Oh so we're for sure finally killing Azshara right? Definitely going to be the final raid boss right?

It feels like a certainty. It's giving me MCU vibes, like if you have a head on your shoulders (i.e read the comics) you have a general idea of how things are going to go, it's just the plot points between them you don't quite have figured out yet.
