Obviously Midnight won't be confined to just Quel'thalas. I imagine it will be a much more extensive rework of the Old World.

12.0 is the time travel bit from I gathered, 13.0 will be current but I only caught the Northrend revamp, not EK+Kalimdor.

I think it will just be Lordaeron and Quel'thalas TBH. Maybe Gilneas.

They described it as basically a mantle for a bunch of changes that make things account wide. I guess the login screen is the biggest visual change but it's not the warband system itself, there won't be a "Warband UI"

Don't think they showed a new login screen, but that visual of your characters sitting around a campfire would be a good replacement.

Oh sweet summer child. Now we will speculate about 14.0 - if it's world revamp, switch to new engine, so called wow 2, etc. xD

Also Teriz would try to fit tinkers in 12.0 and later 13.0.. which could be even right since it will be Titan expansion.

If expansions are 4 zones, then Midnight will be Eastern Plaguelands, Western Plaguelands, Ghostlands and Eversong Woods.

It's a stretch, but I think 'return' and 'old world' are just tripping some people up from taking that slightly too literally. Some chose to get absurdly aggro about their lil misunderstanding though lmao.
