It's a giant holy light crystal, it's got to be Naaru related. Perhaps the Light tried to invade the world soul in the past and this was the result.

Keep in mind epic edition includes a month of gametime.

For the question of "Why Earthen?" my guess is that they were made playable cause we're going to be hanging out with them for the expansion and some people would want to play as them. They might not have been designed from the get go to be playable but just a choice to allow it down the line.

    Why "invade"? Why not visit?

And yes, we know the Light has presence on Azeroth. Five Naaru taught Mereldar the virtues of the Light and guided her to form the Church of the Holy Light.

This, plus not admitting Nerubians are playable too means they can have another big reveal down the road. While they were cagey about it, the Nerubian storyline seems to be like Suramar.

People are constantly hoping for new races. I don't know if it is a resource issue but Blizzard is clearly not doing multiple races that easily.

There seemed to be an implicit faction of counter-culture nerubian resistance/underclass. Could make for an allied race, indeed!

Not just Quel'Thalas; the entire Lordaeron subcontinent.
Given how few zones come in each expansion since Shadowlands (4 at launch + 1 more in a patch), Blizzard doesn't have the resources to remake all Northern EK zones. They can't revamp Tirisfal, Plaguelands, Wetlands, Hinterlands, Ghostlands, Eversong Woods, and the Isle of Quel'danas, let alone also be able to add new void world zones. More than likely we will just get 2 or 3 revamped zones, and then 1 or 2 new void world zones.

Mage: Blood mage a possibility, I'm thinking chronomancer available for arcane. Steam mage? honestly no idea lol. someone mentioned battlemage but I dont think these are meant to change classes that much. would dig tho

Priest: I think we will see an option for spriests to dps with holy magic and vice versa, honestly. maybe twilights hammer cultist for shadow/disc

Rogue: shared sass/sub option will obviously be focused on efficient kills. I dont want to say bard for outlaw but...

Druid: we've seen balance's choices already, being keeper of the grove and Elune's chosen. I can see keeper being relevant to resto too. Elune maybe also for guardian? moon bears

Death knight: probably rune knight or something. blood will have a vampirism option for sure.

Hunter: dark ranger as you said is confirmed, kinda looking at the Alleria's glowup and thinking MM will get a void hunter option.

Shaman: farseer like you said, though I wonder what that will entail. shadow hunter surely

Evoker: agree on all counts, no notes

Monk: probably celestial-flavoured. chi-ji flames vibes for MW/WW, or maybe BrM. dunno how others could work.

Demon hunter: hoping for split between agility/flips n shit and 'hurr demon stronk' meta and fire focus.

Paladin: I can see void knight espesh with current direction of the game. no shot 'templar' isnt one, they could make it whatever they want.

Not doing Drakonid feels like a Blizzard issue and not a resource issue. There's clearly some sort of inner reason they didn't do them, likely because they can't fly.

SL had multiple reasons why the races weren't playable, including people hating the expansion.

Tuskarr... I still think could be an end of DF reveal.

Dragon Isles with Zaralek and ED is by size about 70-75% of Kalimdor. It is MUCH larger than Lordaeron and Quel'thalas. even without Zaralek and ED.

That'd be pretty cool. Do wonder how you'd get the humanoid nerubians out of that, though, given those seem to be on the opposite end of their society. Do some go rogue? They seem too strongly set up for my hopes to be anything other than cope; they're almost certainly going to be the playable ones.

  13. #53873
They could group them into larger zones though hypothetically. I would assume Lordaeron is similar size to the dragon isles no? Or has someone done a comparison?

The old world continents had many more biomes than just that.

Yep, I personally think the package is worth it, so I'll go with the epic, because I have a lot of Blizz balance to burn.

Outlaw will be Pirate (Ybarra lied)

Silvermoon revamped as a huge city zone would be neat.

I mean we started out being allied with the Withered and by the end of it we had Nightborne so I could see it following a similar path.

    Idk tho.
It is kind of odd that it's piercing through the cave top like a giant sword would.

Mereldar is named after a human named Mereldar from the Troll Wars. She is notable for receiving visions from 5 Naaru and her teachings helped form the Church of the Light.
