I might be blind and deaf, but I'm pretty sure Ion showcased a UI screenshot (mock-up probably) that showed a list of characters added to your Warband, and then below that was a normal list of other characters.

He also said you can add characters from different realms. Not sure why he'd say that if they're automatically included anyway.

Thats just a fancy UI to show your most played characters. The rest are in a list and get all the perks that the ones in the fancy background do.

Why does it need a system or feature that is its "main selling point"?

The main selling point for World of Warcraft, the one true thing that keeps people playing year round, is actual new content. Not systems, not side notes... actual new playable content released on a regular basis.

You are literally describing patch content. If you enjoy that, fair enough, but for me this is nowhere near enough to get me excited about an expansion.

Yeah, calling it Warbands really is what confused me. Not sure why it needs a name if it's just backend stuff.

The Camp, though, is something I'm very interested in. I've long held that the currennt login screen is awful for altoholics. It only lets you display 12 characters before scrolling (11 right now because of a bug), so as an altoholic it feels like you gotta choose which you want on display. 11/12 feels at the same time too few, and too many.

Too few to display the ones I care about, but way too many to display the ones I want to play.

I agree with you completely here. To be honest, the one thing that bothered me about the visual of the warband/camp was that they still have the same number displayed in the list. There's NO REASON why they can't tighten the UI to list twice as many characters on that screen by simply reducing the icon and font sizes. With all the work they've done on the UI (and they've done some *terrific* stuff on that), it's time for that to happen as well.

Four new zones, 8 new dungeons, a raid, 13 delves, leveling 70-80, hero talents and amazing quality of life changes aren't patch content. That's what an expansion is.

To be honest, I'm getting the impression that nothing short of a brand new game would make you happy. Do you really need a new time-wasting, one-and-done system to make you excited about this game? If so, maybe play some other games for a while and see if you like them instead? Just a suggestion.

From what I've got from Metzen's speech, whatever will take place in Midnight will show itself to be so severe and terrible for Azeroth's wellbeing that it will prompt the Titans to return.

He even said it might not end the way we want. So from what I gather.

Midnight happens. We end up losing in some way. We retreat to Ulduar to take a final stand with the Keepers, and summon the titans. Titans arrive to fuck shit up and push the void back. Iridikron tries to kill them. They may or may not die. And Azeroth may or may not be born.

It confused me too, but it seems "Warband" is really just a fancy and marketable way of saying "character list", and the camp is just a way to feature your fav characters.

The camp is just the cool ui screen on character select. It has no functionality other than looking cool. And in the presentation there were 4 alts sitting in the camp.

It seems that in-between we go against Aman'thul (and some of his followers), since it was established that HE was the one how pushed the hardest to have Azeroth become the Titan by her "birth". And then Iridikron makes his move and becomes the final boss.

Whatever happens/is revealed with the Aspects and Tyr in 10.2/10.2.5 will be used to foreshadow the events of the Last Titan.

There would be complaining for sure, but I think in this case it would definitely be worth it. Especially when you have old flying to deflect to.

Id be more on board if they buffed normal flying speed. Like to say 500% instead of 310%. It would be nice for lazy people and people with accessibility issues.

Based on what we've learned this weekend about War Within and Worldsoul Saga, which races, classes and specs do you guys think are the most thematically fitting for this new journey?

I mean, Humans, Void Elves, Earthen, Dwarves, and Orcs seem perfect for obvious reasons.
Then Paladins, Priests, and Shamans are also topping the list for me.

What do you guys think?

TWW doesn't seem to prefer any particular classes.

Midnight, you will obviously see elves, Draenei, paladins and priests, but also druids since all three elven tribes will be there. Also maybe Dracthyr too since Iridikron (and by extension, the dragons) might be there.

Go on top of Vakthros and read the tablet there.
Originally Vault of Incarnates was somewhere close to Vakthros. Vakthros was providing power to keep the Incarnates sealed which is why Razsageth destroyed it.

So I've wanted them to give this section a similar overhaul like they gave to the creation screen.

Having a camp seems just right, both because it looks nice and because it limits selection.

Unfortunately its only 4-5 alts, but for most people thats all they really care about.
