I have to assume they simply planned to publish it at the end of the business day because they have no intention to answering questions or comments before next week or even until after the patch launches.

Not sure what catastrophic fuck up would prevent them from simply posting the news. Really, we waited months since they announced the road-map, we can wait a few more hours.
