Finally got to 40. Am now able to functionally log into my normal retail characters without stressing over not having completed the PS renown track.

Also, THE PLUNDERLORD CUTLASS IS A 2H SWORD!? Colour me shocked that it isn't a 1h sword, but we have the rapier for that.
BUT SHIT THE CUTLASS LOOKS DOPE AS A 2H SWORD!!!!

I just expect S4 and a blog post clarifying how it will work (Dinars, rotation or not, world content ilvls).
I don't think Alpha ever gets a release date announcement. That makes no sense. Alpha will be running internally for quite a while before it goes to FnF and that will also run before it opens to "content creators" and select players. I also assume that most of the story stuff will be encrypted; always thought that Blizzard just letting dataminers show pretty much every NPC quote the moment the client was out was problematic so I am glad they are encrypting that cause they always caused so much drama with things taken completely out of context.
We will likely get both Alpha and 10.2.7 in April.

Level up story will be available, because people need to level.

That said yeah, I expect PTR and season 4 post this week. Hopefully with an overview of the rewards for pvp and pve, clarifying that pvp sets will indeed be season 3 looks while also giving us a nice picture of the season 4 pve sets that won.

Also, it seems like the rainbow wilderdrake actually was supposed to get a new model with bigger horns, but it's not finished yet.



Oh also, we actually have another evoker tier set tint from season 3 datamined (the yellow one), so I wonder if they may actually surprise us even further and give season 4 its own elite recolour. Or they may use it for the Season 4 Hero achievement (as currently there is none in the database afaik).

Because conceptually, a shorter expansions means a more concentrated story and experience, rather than them trying to shove 1000 plotpoints into one expansion because one storythread can only carry an expansion for so long before it gets boring. You don't need an expansion to be 2 years long for it to tell a focused story.

It gets boring because they don't know how to write a good ending. Scheduling changes isn't going to fix bad writing.

So why would the TWW pre-patch event last 16 weeks then?

...I put it at 6 weeks. I made my speculative schedule under the basis that each large arrowpoint on the 2024 roadmap is 6 weeks. That would place the last one in November (I mean, it's the anniversary event, it wouldn't make sense to come out in after the anniversary) so if its not 6 weeks, then some will be shorter & an equal number will be longer. It's has to be 6 weeks on average.

If 6 weeks per major release is the goal, this will be 2024's schedule.

What's this massive gap between June 18th and October 8th though, that's what I'm confused about.

Also, should be getting the This Week article soon (TM). I'm hoping they dump the rest of the Hero specs on us if Alpha is gonna be starting soon. They've seemed to be progressively increasing the amount of trees they reveal recently, so I can see it happening.

Keep in mind they don't have to reveal all hero trees before Alpha starts, but I guess it would show good progress on their part.

Its very likely we will see them. Theres only 12 left. I think only oracle will be in alpha because they want to rework it completely. Or maybe thats just copium on my side idk.

Dunno about a complete rework, but they did say that (due to feedback) they will make it less PI-centric.
