Thats true. I do hope they do path of the Titans at some point. Basically account wide perks and outdoor combat bonuses but nothing useable in pvp or instances. Could also have a tier for farming older content. Like Movement Speed in legacy instances is increased by 15/30/45/60%. Account Wide Bad luck Protection for mounts and pets. Probably capped at so many runs a week so people don't no life it, but if there was a bad luck meter that increased every time you didn't get something you would eventually get it guaranteed. Might be something like 1000 kills until guaranteed with a cap of 10 per week. So worst case scenario it would take 100 weeks to get everything if you did it weekly. Most people would get them within a year.

After this report it would be weird that they place Avaloren far from the north. And again. It matches perfectly for a new beginning after TLT.

Of course, if Azeroth is born or some shit happens, we might have another Cataclysm and they could set old and new continents wherever they want.
Its most likely going to be patch content for 11.0 or 13.0. I don't see them waiting until 14 or 15.0 to use a thread from 10.0.

Maybe there's a community of humans living in some sunny island paradise. Perhaps we get to meet the WoW equivalent of Japanese people, or Australians, or Africans.

What if something that took place over on our side affected them in completely different ways, or what if something else happened to them, but not us?

Maybe they're already living under the tyranny of some Old God, or perhaps they've turned into faceless ones. The possibilities are endless and I love it.

Add to that the fact that there are likely some type of green dragon brood over there, and maybe marooned sailors from our side of the world. Heck, there could be ancient Night Elven warriors lost since before the Sundering, unaware of the fate of their civilisation.
I hope they do a Savannah African inspired zone some day. Barrens/Durotar are kinda that but not so much culturally. We could get a whole continent based on Africa at large. I was gonna say the main city could be like Wakanda but Dazar'alor is already kinda that. They would have to be careful to not insult Africans though. Not everyone on the WoW continent should be primitive. A large percentage of Africans aren't. They did a pretty good job not insulting China/other Asian countries with Pandaria. At least to my knowledge. I haven't heard anything about them being insulted.

And the extent of the Keepers' grasp over Ancient Kalimdor was not that strong IMO. They only had a few strongholds over an enormous continent.

In any case, Azeroth is getting way bigger after the Worldsoul Saga. I highly doubt that Avaloren and Kalimdor are the only continents of our planet.
My take is that Northrend is the Northern tip of the planet. From our perspective anything above it would be North, but looking at a globe, it would actually be South if Northrend is actually the North Pole.

Pretty sure the Earthen and the insect race will be too. Not sure what exact Splinter of insect race they were. Were we told? Earthen will be our main friends which should put them front and center in the story, and the bugs are our first raid and allied with Knaifu. The only ones who might not feature past leveling is the Arathi.

I've always liked the idea of legacy tokens. Have separate raid and dungeon tokens. As soon as an expansion is 2 expansions old all that gear and mounts and pets goes into a vendor. Everytime you kill a boss you get a token. 10 tokens for gear, 20 for pets, 100 for mounts. I get the rarity aspect, but people pulling thousands of kills across multiple characters with these raids without skips that are nearing 20 years old and still haven't got the mounts? Its too much.

With warbands coming legacy content is going to be farmed a lot. They should capitalise on it. I had a new friend start wow last year, he flicked through the mount journal and landed on Invincible and said, "I want that". I felt so bad saying, yeah, good luck. We tried, he didn't get it, and when I explained he could only try once per week per character and how he'd have to do the instance every time and there was no bad luck protection he just gave up. He even asked if he could make it more challenging to complete the raid as he was bored playing it? Newer and younger players just aren't willing to commit like the old boys are. They shouldn't have to if wow is to compete.

A lot of my wow friends (who usually start playing again at pre-patch and last till the .1 patch before they loose interest) are very heavily interested and excited by warbands.

If that friend is still playing you should look into the Maw themed horses. I believe there was one from Torghast and one from a Maw rare. A lot easier to farm than Invincible and just as cool imo.

They look amazing and unfortunately I don't think any of them can fly. I hope the devs can be convinced to enable flying for them when they add dynamic flying to the old mounts.

They originally couldn't but I think Blizz might have changed them to be flying at some point. WoWhead says they can. https://www.wowhead.com/spell=339956/mawsworn-charger

whoa, has this thread been massively pruned? I had a tab open on my work PC from last week or probably before Easter, where I was in the 3300s, confirmed by the tab history, but it always redirects me to page 3261, the last page with posts from today...
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

I do agree. Beta invites for the people that bought the heroic version of TWW, plus 10.2.7 launch in June. I think they are a bit behind. Im guessing we get Prepatch late August and TWW launch Mid to late September.

Alpha in the next 3 weeks. Is 4 months enough for a successful Alpha/Beta cycle?

Then the Wow head description is wrong. Unless that's a generic description for every mount.

    - Dev update for 10.2.7, along with PTR.
    - Final Hero Talents.
10.2.7 PTR and final hero talents. Next week or week after alpha.

You sure you didn't switch from 20 to 40 posts per page?

going from 20 to 40 would half it, not just remove about a 100 pages

No, people don't fucking care about the mini patches anymore, we want the alpha. Also, the "plunderstorm hate" is overblown by twitter and content creators, people love it otherwise you wouldn't have instant q times lol.

  11. #63291
ok, looks like everything is happening at the very last deadline. Alpha will come out after S4 if you watch the very last part of each event.

it would be more correct to say that the alpha will be released between 10.2.6 and S4 and not before S4

If you look at the most deadlines, the expansion will be released around September 22

    Hopefully you are right.

Definitively want to see the remaining Hero Talents.

I would rather have information about 10.2.7 this week. Really want to know if the Timerunning thing is a Timewalking kind of revamp or its own thing like Plunderstorm (hopefully the former).

It was already a hint, that the system is returning, this basically confirms that. I never believed Earthen would be the only one.

No one in their right mind said that Allied Races wouldn't come back. It was always a system for "This is a race we want but it doesn't make sense to have unlocked from the start".

I hope Delve is not a "Whoaaaa" content when we see it on screen, then a boring content after doing it a few times.

Man, I am sooo excited for TWW.

    - Delves.
    - Warbands.
    - Hero Talents.
    - The general look and feel of zones like the Isle of Dorn, Dornogal, and Hallowfall.

    It seems so freaking good.

It all comes down to execution, of course. But as a solo casual player who just loves immersion, tinkering with alts, and a good story, it seems like a recipe for success.

Secretly hoping for more character customisation and new class/race combos, but those would just be icing on the cake at this point.

    Bring Alpha!
    Yay, Alpha hype!

I'm currently finishing my last pvp character for the elite set, and Mythic Fyrrak will die this Wednesday (hopefully, we had him at 9% yesterday). After that it's just chill down time in season 4 while waiting for weekly alpha updates haha.

I would say that the WoW roster is quite massive so it could be used better? Why use 5 characters instead of 50? I think Legion fucked up the lore in numerous ways but the fanservice of using a very wide roster of characters was actually welcome in the early patches (and sadly reversed completely during Argus)

I want Avaloren to be a huge exotic continent full of mysteries and crazy landscapes, isolated and completely different from Kal/EK.

I know Wow's geography is always changing to suit the future story, but it made me wonder - if no one can sail west of kalimdor or east of EK due to the storms, why don't they sail north of Northrend instead to get to the other side, or south of Pandaland

With our new friend Vyranoth, aspect of Storms, maybe she can help us get there someday by giving us a ride and quelling the storms
