I think they will want to so something a bit more radical with Northrend than what's being suggested here, tbh. Everyone's pretty much just listing repeats of what we had in WotLK.

I'm thinking like... if things went south in Midnight, why and what was it? How does it lead to TLT?

Did an army of the Light overrun us? Is Northrend the new base of operations for some mega army with Odyn at the helm?

I'm thinking the big change will be that Odyn connnects the Halls of Valor to Ulduar somehow as they were originally the same facility, and maybe they will make the whole thing fly.

Besides that, not really too much in the way of zone changes, except for a way to get to Iridikron's lair.

Well, an Odyn lead titanforged army will almost certainly happen, as he'll just suck up to Aman'thul.

As for things going south, since Legion the Titans pretty much ignored an Old God resurgence that almost succeeded, they also ignored Handsome Squidward the Janitor sexually assaulting the World Soul, and they are not coming back until after Xal claws her way down the Coreway and the Void starts their biggest invasion since the Black Empire.

So i'd say, its safe to say the event that will happen and really only event that would convince them to abandon the SotP and return to Azeroth is if the World Soul becomes compromised and is on the brink of destruction.

Why not. It's big enough, it's definitely impressive. It does have too strong a theme though given that the expac is unlikely to be about undeath in any major way.

Also I'm still salty that the Shadowlands intro was that underwhelming after they initially described it as "us battling our way into Icecrown again". Using ICC as a hub in TLT would kinda make up for that.

As of Legion, they already got shrunk.

I wonder if they return and a trap is sprung already at the approach to Azeroth, blasting them to pieces or something.

I still think Sargeras is the last Titan, so it would make sense.

Well maybe they'll use the Sunwell. Maybe one of the many facilities they left around was created expressly so it could open a gate for them and they just need to turn it on. Heck, maybe THAT is what the Felstorm was and Sargeras' demons corrupted it into Fel.

Please no, it's too dark and musty for a main hub.
And it clashes aesthetically with the main theme way too much.

I can see it as an alternate hub for endgame stuff, or as a patch hub, but not as the main city.

Depends on the themes we will see with TLL. Also, i wouldn't mind to see ICC being torn up a bit after the events of the Zovaal fight and the engines below ICC working. It could remove the outer shell of ICC, giving space for the inner parts to be used as a HUB.

There is always the curveball hub that noone is talking about. The Argent Crusade citadel you help found in Icecrown. Without Dalaran causing issues in Crystalsong you could easily make a pretty cool city there using whatever new assets you want. Possibly even some recoloured ones from Hallowfall to allude to the crusader theme.

I could see it actually be quite fitting. As it is still a conduit that connects to the shadowlands, and if we fight the titans, we could need the help of another power on a similar scale, the eternals. I wouldn't mind seeing the Primus and Kyrethia again. Both of the would also fit into past plots of northrend. The scourge and vrykul + val'kyr.

Would be pretty sick to see ICC more akin to what it looked like in the final frozen throne cinematic compared to the saronite covered citadel it became for wrath.

The question: why would the argent crusade relocate to crystal song? The tournament grounds could have been a great place to expand into a city. While crystal song could be the way to the below Northrend zones.

Lots of possibilities.
I think howling Fjord and Grizzly Hills are great as they are, just update to moderns graphics (azure span assets) and merge them to a zone.
Scholazar basin and Borean Tundra should be merged to a jungle like zone. Perhaps due to Eonars/Freyars doing?.
Dragonblight i want to see the scars of the dragon soul raid. We got a lot of big tentcles and maws there.
Zul'drak i don't know what to make of. I doubt we see it rebuild. But i could see it perhaps be covered by an avalanche from the storm peaks.
Storm Peaks should lose snow and stone and reveal all the titan machinery below it.
Icecrown i could see flooded. Not like thousand needles, but pools and rivers of water. Streaming down from a melting Icecrown Citadel core?
