The elf hate on forums always makes me laugh cause in just about any fantasy setting for games the most played races are always just human and elf.

The clamoring for all things elves by certain players can be annoying, but I don't mind elf stuff. I kinda hope we are done with elves for 5+ years after Midnight though.

I really like some of these class designs, but the death knight tier piece is just weird. The models themselves are great, but the coloring just doesn't work for me. A lot of death knight sets lately have been very bold color choices that I think just do not match with death knight class fantasy at all. Weird to compare to something like the new Monk and Evoker sets which nail the fantasy.

God, idk man this will never be good imo. Simply dont like the idea of half elves. I already hate it haha.

Hate? If anything people talk about elves too much, have you seen all those threads with thousands of pages?

I think the issue is that the additions are pretty boring.

Void Elves are functionally just Blood Elves with a few extras

Now we have Night Elves cosplaying as trolls, humans with elf ears. and whatever the hell Dracthyr visage forms are supposed to be.

Its just not very creative. If they want to add these options to existing races, be my guest. But I would rather have something more unique added.

If they become an allied race, I can see myself creating druid with this. They seem very dryad-like. At least the female one.
Yea.., To me just by quickly looking I see a night elf male and worgen male. Squeeze your eyes abit and there is no difference. I am always looking at the animations, idle stance etc. Those can be super defining racial wise, sadly they dont do more with this.

I mean for example, It would have been better if they would have given void elves slightly different idle animation. Just how nightborne look different like that, but just those idle animation alone, make them more their own and not instantly feel like a reskin. Forsaken idle animation for example is super defining. Nightborne truly fsel different jjst how they stand alone, it works.

Meanwhile the most requested allied races in this forum is Moknathal which is orcs but bigger and thin humans.

Don't know if this was mentioned in the onslaught of info but saw on reddit that apparently Dracthyr will be able to be other classes at some point and in-combat visage when they're other classes.

Nobody going to talk about the light-infused undead race?

I think we're getting to a point where the sets are getting a bit too monochromatic for the sake of easy recolors. Most stuff is just one color & a neutral. Give the sets a second color in its color scheme please blizzard.

Apparently the earthen cannot eat food. Their racial INgest Minerals lets them eat a gem to change the benefit of Well Fed.

    Bizarre but kinda neat too.

Medivh's story is weird. He was assumed dead, but showed up in karazhan only for him to say something cryptic like "i have to go now. I'm needed somewhere else" never to be seen again. I don't know if they simply dropped his storyline or what happened.

Khadgar dying isn't so far fetched though. Remember when he had that talk with jaina in shadowlands after chilling in oribos for the whole expansion?

Yeah, the ear thing makes me think it'll just be an unlock or simply part of 11.0. Which works fine.

I think they can do better than that as well, but its more unique than anything I mentioned above.

Yes. New idle animations should be the minimum. And it's not like it is something super complicated Blizz couldn't do or spend big amount of resources on. I have some animation experience, so I can tell. They are just lazy.

I wouldn't hold my breath for the ears though...
We had the primalist eye customization datamined (even with barbershop customization settings) but they were never added.
(Unless they're snuck into 10.2.7 somehow but I doubt that)

"now we have humans with elf ears"
I know this may be a surprise, but half elves have been a thing in wow lore forever.
