That is what it means though. That's just in line with how they translate all proper names with "meaning" - talk about a "hurl event".

It's not like the german translation of the Hearthstone event where the "Stone of the Hearth" toy was translated "Herdstein" - "Stone of the Stove" (normally Hearthstone is translated as "Ruhestein")

The translators don't always have the proper context available. They may well change the translation once they get it.

Just wanted to update, seems they put out a hotfix that, well, fixed it, and mythic N'zoth and G'huun should be soloable now.

I really want to see more race hybrids. Obviously the sensible ones that I don't believe have ever been graphically represented in the game like orc-draenei (perhaps Yrel's army will come from the future and be entirely orc-draenei hybrids, incentivising the work required), but also some really wild hybrids like orc-troll and gnome-goblin. The timelines should allow for there to be at least one generation of hybrids between any of the baseline races that have interacted heavily in WoW.

Ok so I went again to Timeless Isle to continue my investigation of the new Infinite Proto-Drake. I have proof of his existence:





I was not able to attack it. It respawns close to the Horde camp, flies through the coast until more or less the Alliance camp, and then it suddenly dissapears ¡¡

It is obviously probably related to the Pandaria event, but maybe someone can have more insights about it?

In Spanish is "Cristalia", which is terrible. I just play the game in English. Is better that way.

I do not think so. It appeared again shortly after he dissapeared. It just goes more or less from Horde camp to alliance camp. Maybe when Remix is live we will be able to attack it.

Actually that is a good example how sometimes these translations can be indication to ambiguous names or plot points. In this example it's not really a secret that Hallowfall refers to the big light crystal that fell onto Azeroth and dominates the zone, but I think translations can be really interesting for lore speculatio. Main story translations may still be clunky, but they're usually done with the correct context and insight.

It is a good translation though the game in the french version is riddled with spelling errors and translation mistakes. You can clearly notice that they've given up on their rigourous translation process around BfA/Shadowlands and that there is no review or in country review, etc.

The french game had a tier set token called "coffre de classe" (treasure chest) instead of "torse de classe" (torso). That bad translation has stayed in the game since Sepulcher... Tindral has two different names because at some point a translator thought it would be cool... In the Tyr encounter from Dawn of the Infinite, the dungeon journal tells you not to do the soak otherwise Tyr gets buffed (when it is the opposite that should be done)...

It's full of mistakes like these. I've already got the audio in english and I'm seriously considering playong with the english text as well.

I switched to all english back in MoP already, but I get the same reports of declining translation quality (not just the weirdness, legit mistakes and wrong information) from friends who still play the german version as well. Most likely result of budget cuts and layoffs gutting important jobs like localization coordinators.

"Santificación" is cool. Cristalia is very lame and I do not think that it conveys the meaning of Hallowfall at all.

I have always played the game in English, not only for the voiceacting, which is always better, but because many times the translation of texts are very inaccurate.

As well as this story of double gender imposed absolutely everywhere that disgusts a lot of players.

Honestly, I just don't see myself doing full runs for these now when in TWW I will be getting every mog that drops instead of just those for my class.

For Nymrohd, you can keep everything that you have not collected in your bank I suppose, it'll be unlocked once prepatch hits servers. (my hunter's bank is full of BfA xmogs lol)

Sadly that isn't guaranteed to work. They might give it a go in making transmog unlocks retroactive, but it's also possible the changes to accommodate the unlocks are tied to the actual drop trigger, not a constant check in your bags.

That would make little sense. At worst you'd still unlock them when you vendor them.

Might be a good option to wait a bit. Plenty of achievements and collectibles to chase anyway.

I am sinking my teeth in the new PvP mode ATM. Really fast and fun!! Have not done PvP in a while and I am liking it quite a bit, but Plunderstorm was better.

For sure. When Azshara comes the dagger will come with her IMO.

We're getting Dog as a pet!!! Doesn't appear to be a battle pet, just a normal companion. They'll be able to come with us on our adventures properly now :')
