Xal'atath, the villain of the new expansion. She was introduced in Legion as the background fluff for the talking Shadow Priest artifact dagger which would occasionally whisper fluff to the player character. Then in a BFA patch quest her soul escaped the dagger into an elf body and she vanished through a portal. Then the big bad of Dragonflight quit halfway through the expansion to go work with her.





There is no official character design for the being Azeroth yet.

Knaifu from Legion turned into a hot chick and now is an expansion Big Bad ?

I knew that spiders and I think mantis does that but I am just not fond of taking people to get killed? Because she asks you to find her husband in a city under a fascist regime so I thought the guy was in danger. So I guide him through the city, avoiding the guards and when we get there, he gets killed. And I did not want to be complicit to that.

Nothing in that cinematic confirms or denies anything. My hypothesis was all along that the radiant song is from a light being, which may or may not be Azeroth. This cinematic just states that people defended Azeroth, that the world soul slumbers and dreams in darkness and that xal‘atath ist after it.

Definitely an odd choice for those who
RP their characters as good. There would need to be a quest later on in which she’s brought to justice to even it out but who knows.

The launch roadmap doesnt even mention pre patch and Panda Remix end and TWW EA are only 3 days apart. I wonder if they are doing away with the concept and it'll just be a short scenario or something that goes live on the 20th.

Would be odd to overlap the two things otherwise especially if people cant convert Timerunners until the 19th.

Prepatch will get its own announcement and is probably a month before, so 7/22 or close to it.
