We have that one Kobyss Delve that is entirely underwater but locks you to the ground.

If they do an underwater zone, they could do that to a major chunk of the zone.

I wouldn't say I like that a rebel or fallen first one is the ultimate evil. It was similar in Starcraft, Amon was a fallen Xel Naga that betrayed the rest.

However it can happen: the first one versus the last one hehe

I would love to see a graph of those who like water zones vs what class they play mostly in said water zones when the content is fresh. I’m up for another shot but I can imagine for some classes it’s better/worse.
Started in closed beta, probably before your class was even in the game.

I thought Vashj'r was very unique and was disappointed that the long awaited Azshara zone was not underwater (even though the end result we got was kinda creative). Underwater combat in GW2 was also novel and spruced up adventuring in the vanilla maps. Sadly underwater gameplay was jetissoned in the expansions. In the HoT expansion there is a hero point you have to travel through a shark infested underwater tunnel to reach, and then that's it. The End of Dragons expansion about the last Elder Dragon, the ED of water, didn't even have any underwater content in it! It climaxes in you fight the water dragon on a tower in the middle of dry land! WTF? I also really liked the underwater Japanese kingdom of Sui-no-Sato from FF14, and the underwater City of Raging Tides from Perfect World.

What I always thought was neat about Vashj'ir was how it was divided up into three sub-zones. I don't know why they did that, or why it never happened again.

    That's right.

They should do that more often, it's neat.

Yeah it kinda helped to sell it as a mini-Expansion.

*Still Argus should have been it's own Expansion and WoD-Legion-Argus should just have been the Felstorm Saga*

Who said that? Actually, that sounds great.

Is there any new Titan artwork in the new Chronicles?

  12. #74092
I liked Vashjir but played ranged so didn't notice any targeting issues.

The main thing I'm a bit worried about in TWW is underground-fatigue. If the speculation of the patches being goblin and rootland themed are right, then that would be all the expac content also underground. I'm thinking its more likely that Karesh will be a patch in order to get us out in the open for a while

Nope. The closest is the image of a few keepers holding the pillars of creation

I don't think locking characters to the seafloor would work for an underwater zone. It's fine for a delve, which is a short, largely scripted affair but the entire point of an underwater zone is that it's three-dimensional to explore--that you can swim up and actually interact with things higher up (unlike with flight in normal zones, with rare exceptions like flying through an orb or ring or whatever).

I do think that Blizzard could do an underwater zone, like Vashj'ir, much better today. They have Vashj'ir to learn from as well as better game tech. I wouldn't mind them taking another swing at it.
That is not dead which can eternal lie.
And with strange aeons even death may die.

We really need to drop the terms "robot" and "3D-printed" - the Eternal Ones are souls inhabiting construct bodies, just like the humanoid forms of the Titans are just constructs/golems given life by their souls, just like HFC's Socrethar, or souls possessing corpses, like the first-generation Death Knights, or Xal'atath using Inanis' body.
The Eternal One's bodies are just more advanced because they were literally designed by the oldest and most powerful beings we ever heard of.

Bit of a headcanon: the Eternal Ones are souls that were born elsewhere, maybe the first generation of world souls, and then raised by the First Ones or their underlings to administrate the Shadowlands. This would also explain why the Winter Queen calls Elune "sister": likely still not biological, but what if similar souls were nurtured alongside them, but taken to other realms?
This kinda clashes with OR is confirmed by the Prototype Pantheon:
Bereft of the cosmic spirits of the Eternal Ones, these incomplete host bodies can only carry out their base directives without mercy or compassion.
"Bereft" could mean that these were earlier bodies the Eternal Ones inhabited, but later got different bodies more akin to the one we see when killing Zovaal. These discarded constructs still maintained a fragment of the Eternal Ones' powers. Or maybe in this iteration, the powers were tied to the construct bodies, while the latter one imbued the powers into the souls directly, allowing them to inhabit more generic base constructs.

tbh I can't even blame the Horde anymore, I only blame the vocal minority pressuring Blizzard into reigniting the Faction Conflict because they either wanted to play as the evil brutes/schemers that the Horde hadn't been since WC3, or as the knights in shining armor opposing them.

This is also why I feel dread about the hints of changing the login screen, it might be a kneejerk reaction to the "outrage". But even if that's just stuff that was already planned, e.g. for an evolving scene as speculated, the bullies will see this as proof that their constant complaining works.

Not that I'm an expert on that, but it would fit with a "3-act" structure: we know the ultimate destination, the world soul, but the end of TWW = Act 1 literally sidetracks us, instead of going deeper, we are lured more or less horiozontally towards the Rootlands or something else. Then Midnight = Act 2 forces us to to back to the surface to hold off the Void invasion, seemingly further from our goal than ever before, and in TLT = Act 3, we race against time and Titans to save Azeroth.

Oh right, Midnight was announced to have one, right? Tbh, Blizz should hold off on that until 14.0 - let us become symbolically overpowered (with some planning we'd reach/cross iLvl 1000 at the end of TLT) but afterwards, as Azeroth either is born and leaves, or dies, we lose all the power she invested in us, depowering us on a meta level.

Going on a tangent about DF's group events based on your phrasing:
Soup Event, Siege on Dragonbane Keep, Researchers under Fire, Superbloom, Big Dig: all great fun events

What was not fun about them was that they only happened at set times, disadvantageous if you had limited time or wanted to take some alts through them as well - Soup was easier in that regard, and you could shard/warmode-hop, but the latter of course shouldn't be officially encouraged behavior.
These should rather happen over and over, with Scenario/Delve tech to shard you with other players (with some buffs if there aren't enough people around at off times)

Have only heard bits and bobs of the TWW events, but it's good that you only "have" to do 2 out of 6 per week for max rewards, then again you only had 2-3 relevant ones per DF patch/LH week anyway, too.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

It's a 10 minute long GW2 event you do once a day/week where you don't interact or talk with anyone. It is in practice a solo experience. That is not the same thing as a core gameplay loop where you have to play with your friends to progress which makes a grind fun.

Do you think "The Last Titan" would introduce to us another titan?

Not necessarily one apart of the Pantheon of Order, but maybe another titan out there in the cosmos that comes in contention with the Pantheon of Order?

I just realized that any hope for Enhancement actually getting SOME form of changes or new toys to add to their talents/playstyle have just gone out the door since the class changes ships tomorrow ;-; with pre-patch - and I highly doubt they'll change a spec within a month.

Well, Enh "changes" memes aside, I heard that base DF Enh was solid enough and Stormbringer is fun enough that Enh is still looking decent going into TWW. And they did some improvements in last build.
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

Wouldn't entirely surprise me. Plus we know of one other Titan through Hearthstone, though that's of questionable canonicity until they decide to make her canon.
