Lmao they cut a hole in the middle of the loginscreen and then copypasted the concept art from the WoW press kit, applied a blue aura around the rim and called it the day.

Technically speaking they did edit the concept art to remove the fire so they can replace it with proper animated fire on the actual login screen.

I didn't have any issues with it, but I didn't get any orders involving that NPC so it's possible that there are some bugged tasks that I was lucky enough to avoid. If it happens again, maybe you could try flying away for a minute and coming back to see if it'd reset and give you a different task as a workaround?

I never really minded the login screen much, what I really want is a long music theme. People saying that we only hear it for a few seconds are being dishonest though. A long theme is nice when you spend 30 minutes (or more) making a new character.

They should honestly just do more portals. Each login screen should be a portal, change my mind.

Some could be smart portals, like Midnight should obviously be the Sunwell, right? If it's just a view of Silvermoon that'd be lame.

I think that's obvious. If anything I'm hoping that the new Silvermoon is at least 3 times the size of the current one. It should have tons of spires visible from very far away.

Maybe. I did fly across the northern bridge to see if the npc was up there. But I couldn't see any of the standard npcs that I usually see. No treant bro, no washed up threshers or sea beasties. People were running around saying 'Yes, chef!', but the only thing I saw change was an enemy raid towards the 'end'.

I almost feel like if Midnight kicks off with the Sunwell becoming corrupted and opening into a giant Void gate, it'll be way too much like Legion where it kicked off with the Tomb ecoming a giant Fel gate.

But I also can't really figure it'll go any other way.

Most likely we will have epic view of Void corrupted Sunwell from our hub in Silvermoon. It's common cliche for "end of world" expansions - Dalaran and ICC, Dalaran and Tomb of Sargeras, Oribos and Maw.

Is it me or is this launch looking VERY sparse on visual rewards (tmog/mounts/minions)?
Also not a fan of these transmog "sets" that are just shoulder + cloak + tabard.

I’ve seen no comments in this thread that have been directed at the login screen that have been vitriolic. However, go back a couple of pages and you will indeed see vitriolic comments about those who don’t like the login screen.
