It was introduced in Exploring Northrend as just another term for Speaker, but the rest is new. It seems to be implied that all player earthen are thraegar now, since Magni gave his power to them. That might be why they have azerite-based powers when the rest don't.

Nothing really ground breaking happening. Man... Same shit again... It's just depressing. Thought they would atleast do something different or more epic.

Remember back in the day when you would you choose Horde and Alliance? You chose Horde because you didn't want to see this weak ass blue and purple dwarf shit? You chose Horde and got to hang with the bois in Orgrimmar? God, how did they fuck this up so bad, even with Metzen back. This is why the whole both factions for peace is bullshit. It ruins the soul of the game.

This is like girl boss the animated series. It's the same garbage writing and character design of the last 3 expansions.

They not only dismissed the criticism of the last 3 expansions, they actually seemed to have doubled down on it in all their arrogance. Insane.

Honestly, good riddance to all those that got fired.

Metzen said they were over 10 months into development when he joined, so he didn't contribute much. Lets hope that means the patches of TWW will be better and so will Midnight.

Otherwise this games lore is done.

I really don't want Remix to come back as MoP again, I think most people were expecting a different expac to be used for the next time around. With the exception of the weapon tints surely everyone got everything they wanted from this round - plus almost everything is farmable in the live game anyway

The fact that MoP Remix is coming back regularly IMO is a clear sign that Remix will be expanded (eventually) to all expansions, and they will just rotate in a similar fashion to Timewalking. I will not be surprised if Remix, with some adjustments, replaces Timewalking, and Bronze replaces TW coins.

The question is how they are going to differentiate them and keep them relevant. Most people would have everything that they want from MoP Remix, so if it comes back, what will be the point for those players? We know that most WoW players are driven by rewards. Also, the gameplay should have to be different or it will get old fast.

Anyway, in 3 hours I will start my journey into TWW !! Cannot wait !!

Whatever made people think it was going to change? Metzen's Interview was pretty clear about what his role is. He wants the older stuff, new blood wants the newer ideas. So, instead of being a source of turmoil like other old blood, he will do what a Director does and let the Team do what it was doing and continue doing so, whilst binding that all together with his own ideas and where all of them as a whole want a plot thread to lead and end.

People may like Metzen's stage presence, they may think that Metzen is the end of the more modern characters and there to bring the metal back into Warcraft and make sweaty, greasy muscle dudes fuck eachother up, but that's just not happening

I do really hope that people finally come to terms with the fact that they've gone past their expiration date with WoW in many a case and the changes they want are neither as popular as they believe nor are going to happen (likely because of the former) the way they want them to happen.

Didn't get early access, but I did tell you that the only meaningful difference that was likely to be seen was having more upfront action rather than how sedate DF ended up being and how much of SL was people talking. The idea that Metzen materially differed from what the current writing staff wanted to do, rather than them following in his footsteps is easily disabused by playing SC2 and Diablo III. The destruction of Dalaran as compared to pretty much any bit in DF or SL is a good summary of where a difference is likely to come up.

It needs a mix of both. I don't want an expac purely filled with 'greasy muscle guys' but Dragonflight was absolutely too soft.
A fantasy series should always have some bad-ass warriors we can all enjoy watching - whether they're heroes or villains. I wouldn't expect much change in the story yet but surely Metzen can bring something a bit more epic than every character having sad feelings and struggles
