Evil only wins when it spreads. It can cause destruction, it can cause death—but those are consequences of its nature, not its victory. Not its goal. The danger of evil, the purpose of evil, is that it causes those who would oppose it to become evil also.

That sounds almost exactly like “whoever you want to be”

    Because it is

Man, why does expansion launches bring the "weird" peeps out? And why do they think they can win anything here?

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

What weird things are you referring?

Man Blizzard is already posting the Dalaran cinematic in Twitter.

Really hammering home that the game launched on 22nd and those who didn't pay the extortion price are just suffering the Delayed Access.

Yeah, it's not a good look. Though seems inevitable we will have it again in Midnight. People did pay for it, and it does lessen the chaos at launch by having two large blocks several days apart. So the Blizzard has good incentives to keep it going, both from a financial and a programming perspective.

So I have not gotten any of the Renown rewards yet that you get from talking to the npc after you reach that level, is that intended for coming at the launch or is it just a silly bug?

I see more people asking so probably a bug.

Dunno, I assumed you will get them when hitting max lvl.

There's a quest with Goblin Prospectors arriving to Opportunity Point, and some of them seem to be coming from the big rock pile, so that's probably going to be the portal to Undermine.

Bad News: Despite assurances that they wouldn't be, turns out Earthen are timegated. You currently don't just need the level up campaign, but also the max level campaign which is probably a chapter every week for 5 weeks after the season launches.

I think that I have done around 60% of the first zone and I am already half way to level 75 o_O

Enjoyed the Dalaran intro cinematics very much. IMO Khadgar is just dead unless we go to the Shadowlands and find him, but who knows.

I like the Earthen more than expected, especially when they act like machines, they are fun and different in that way. The story and characters are ok for now. I was advancing in the campaign but I found the new Skyriding Races and had to get gold in all of them, so that is taking a lot of time :P

Also did 3 Delves and they are pretty meh, but until the season starts I think that what we have now is not representative of what they are going to be.

Yeah big change of plans for me. I originally planned to use the Radiant Echoes to quickly bump my Earthen Warrior up, but alas.

It seems that they did it specifically so people couldn't do that, but they also made it so people with early access can't get exp from that event. They didn't need to do both. It's like locking off standard flying in TWW, totally pointless decision.

Yeah, you seem to be right, the Quartermaster now has an icon above his head with a exclamation mark with a lock on. It wasnt earlier, but its probably hotfixed in to prevent confusion.

Gotta say, I hope they keep this focus on the sidequests, it will be necessary for a great revamp expansion.

Also it would be cool if they added an AH to the City of Threads so it could be used as a dual city to Dornogal, it already has profession trainers.

Ringing Deeps is probably the only zone I didn't really like that much out of all 4 so far. Azj'Kahet was quite nice, it definitely has some Suramar-vibes to it. The trailer at the end of the campaign was good too I thought, although I still cannot make myself like Alleria.

Off to level my Mage now!

Still, fun stuff all around. Isle of Dorn was a bit slow, but it picks right back up with the Machine Speakers and their Adeptus Mechanicus-lite schtick.

Xal'atath feels like she is very much carrying the story so far. She is just such a fun antagonist, even if her relationship with Alleria borders on the romantic.

I imagine Metzen's contribution is the idea of the World Soul Saga as a concept. The way he talks about it makes it seem like the writers already had the idea of Khaz Algar and teh whole thing with the Arathi and Xal'atath, and he just got them onboard with the idea of leaning into the nostalgia with lots of returning characters.
Midnight and TLT seems like they are more specifically his brainchild, in that his talks of wanting to "use all the toys at once" seems like they fit perfectly into those two expansions being revamps of beloved areas, with a heavy focus on returning big character.
    Thank you.
