I still believe the "true lore" of the Shadowlands is that the Titans somehow intervened through time, as it far too sanitized and orderly (and cyclical) for what should've been an innate realm of death and decay.

"But I doubt a location that is too ethereal and Light/Void inspired would feel very interesting."
Idk about you, but I would be all for that magical, extremely high fantasy aesthetic! The Realm of Light could be full of crystal palaces, multi-colored biomes, luminous skies and geometrical patterns, etc. While the Realm of Shadow (Or should I say the Void) would be full of Lovecraftian stuff and whatnot.

Well the true answer is that Chronicle didn't know the full extent of the Shadowlands. Simple as that. The mortal documenting it only knew the Shadowlands based off the descriptions of the Veil, as well as how Death Knights and co wielded death magics on Azeroth.
Also, it's orderly cause it was made with structure in mind. Zereth Mortis confirms this. Beyond said basic structure, there's nothing "Titan-based" about the Shadowlands.

And even if you WANTED to argue there was Titan influence there, you can just say that Death and Order worked together a bit. There's a ton of evidence backing that up, with the Primus' memories specifically.

In regards to what my dream announcement would be, truth is, I don't know.
Housing could be neat. I didn't particularly care for it in my previous MMO that had it (Anarchy Online) but I was also much younger and not the sort for it then. Now, I could enjoy it.
Curious to see what it'll be.
I hate the feedback loop that dicussion of the cosmic realms, powers, etc often falls into.
Let's get back to speculation on Direct. Say they announce a Harronir playable race. How do we think they join us?

Either in 11.1 or 11.1.5. Probably the usual alliance:
"Oh, we have been apart from the rest of the world for so long. It is time to join you to fight together, for Azeroth!!".
Regarding the Cosmic Planes, I never thought that a Shadowlands expansion was possible, sadly I was wrong. I have no interest in visiting those planes (Void, Light, Fel...) at all.
Little more than 3 hours to go!!

and it still sucks.
I get that, they have been one of the races appear in the main trailer so sadly it's bound to happen. The problem is, they are just to random, to out of the blue next to all the other races we have who are still not playable. I simply don't care. It's the same with earthen, just a model being reused. Most people, including myself just want to see races who have been on their wishlists for years. Harronir are wannabe avatar nobodies and still need build up. We know a few things, but were all literally introduced IN tww. I am just being real honest about them here. I simply don't get what is exciting about them, like AT all. It sucks, because it will take some time before a next race is added. Drakthyr were also a huge miss for me, hate these geckos. I am a Ogre, Vrykul or Arrakoa kind of person.. for years. We keep getting these random ass races no one asked for, it's so weird to me.
Ideally I would like to see the return of two races being added, one per faction with a full package.

Personally I think there's a sizable chance we do get Ascended Nerubians as a race this expansion, regardless of dev comments, as we are missing a load of nerubian mounts in the files and they aren't included in the next patch. There is actually no finale for the Nerubians in 11.0.7 as far as I know.
For example, there are multiple of the worm mounts while we only have access to a single one. So could one of them be an AR mount?

Nothing in Chronicle says that Order and Disorder are physical realm forces. It just says that they hold sway over the governing systems in the universe, which is true for the most part.
Chronicle says that Light and Shadows clash led to Life, Death, Order, and Disorder taking shape in the universe, but that is likely an exaggeration the Chronicle writer read whilist studying Titan documentations or so.

Also, your description for the "Shadowlands" regarding the sortment of souls is legit just Oribos lol.

As for the Light sounding like Bastion, no? Bastion doesn't have crystal palaces or multi-colored biomes (like a Red biome mixed with yellow, purple, green, etc).

I'm mildly curious for Harronir but I'd like them to have different animations at the minimum.
Which mounts are those? I've been skeptical on Ascended Nerubians as a race, but with more groundwork to establish them past being mind soldiers of Xala'tath, it's certainly possible.
Buuuuuut Harronir seem more likely. They're okay. I also wish it wasn't continuous new elf OC (I say this as a Nightborne main), but they haven't laid the groundwork for new races in a while. I think most likely old school race we'll be given is Ethereal and some form of forest troll, but I can't see either of those coming until 12.0 at the earliest.

These Ascended Nerubians are still kind of alien to us, they are also new in that sense. Still, I would say they are at least a bit more familiar, because of their name.
I would probably be indifferent to them being added, but I could see it sure.

Would you rather see Blizz create a new race entirely, with no history and set them up being playable or return to the many unplaybale races we already have?
Just to make sure, were you coming from.

I kind of agree with the sentiment of unnecessary races. I wish that WoW never added so many. They are detrimental to the game IMO.
I would have stopped with the addition of Draenei and Blood Elves. I give Dracthyr a pass for being their own class. A bigger focus in the customization options of existing races would have been preferable.

I agree fully on new animations for any (new) race being added from now on tbh. It's one if not the most exciting thing in general and for many, why they choose to play one or not. Inb4 headache casting of the night elf male model. Especially casting and how a 2hand sword for example sit.

Possibly a fake, I just re-posted from a different group, not claiming it has any validity at all
On the other hand, I could imagine information you mention being there for some reference, like a first bullet point of "where are we now at this moment", especially if the 20th anniversary edition is a thing and it actually launches in autumn this year. It'd be weird to leave a blank space there for the other two
But yeah, there's nothing reaaaally spoilery there so that would be a low effort fake then. Just sharing what I saw though![]()
