If you think "forever" actually means forever in WoW, boy do I have some news for you.

Red Shirt Guy pointed out the guy in the housing video is a High Elf in a Human themed house. Take that as you will.

So...this was on Kosak's post regarding the conceptualization of the Cosmology Chart. Seems the idea for "Lords of Death" were in the cards for a while now, and the Void Lords were seemingly planned as well...but it's Light that interests me...
They likely won't be named "The Archons" anymore, but it does seem Blizzard had plans to make Lords of Light. Potentially, this could still be in the cards.

In other older things, Light was also called "creation", and Death had all the attributes of Shadow, not Void.
But now? "Creation" seems to be its own type of magic and whatnot, being associated with the First Ones, and Void is part of the influence of Shadow. "Wratih Lords" became the Eternal Ones, etc.
Seems that, during the conceptualization of the Chronicle chart, they actually did intend for the Shadowlands to be what the Veil is now (Which makes sense for the old lore). But now, things have obviously changed.

They also tried to attribute each element with specific Cosmic Forces, and ngl, I'm glad that's changed. Never liked the idea of the elements being linked inherently with a force.

"WoW will never have Light Lords. The Naaru should be the top dogs of the Light"
I'm so glad even Blizzard disagrees with some of y'all. These takes were just not it.

So, somehow, they managed to make it inexplicably massively worse. Did they say what the catalyst was for this awful mistake?
Interesting how they were going to name the naaru's overlords "Archons". Were they deliberately trying to evoke Gnosticism or did they randomly pick a name they thought sounded cool?
So to avoid more cosmic bullshit talk--
What are some other potential encounters we may have in The Liberation of Undermine? What are the potential secrets hidden in the Galageo with Gallywix? Do ethereals or brokers appear?

Yeah, I hope they'll bend geography a little and deal with it without loading screen. Tunnel from Ringing Deeps to Undermine, then tunnel to Kezan (could have close to no content it was destroyed by Deathwing after all) and flight master or just flying back to Isle of Dorn.
We should see soon anyway, can't imagine first PTR after Christmas.

I know this is probably tongue in cheek but I think someone proposed a fairly interesting take on that earlier on?
I think that could be really fun. The Nazrethem were always sort of vague in their alleigences until Shadowlands, but I think they still have this hired gun self vested interest air about them. Whatever comes in Midnight, it would be cool to see the Nathrezem as part of their invasion force. Part of the Legion's invasion feeling so brutal was that there were just massive amounts of troops. We'll get a lot of Shadowguard Ethereals in Midnight, but diversifying the Void's troops would be really fun.

Some sort of tongue in cheek Godzilla vs Kong reference there I'm sure. You're right that they pointed out "alchemically inclined" when speaking about the goblins, so I'm sure that further extraction of the black blood will be on the list of Xal's involvements in Undermine.

Yeah, I'd expect nothing less of the goblins, and haha I didn't even think of Godzilla vs Kong there, good point.
Also there's a Goblin-aesthetic Azerite war machine (like the faction world boss in the updated Arathi Highlands) with what looks like a flame wall behind it, so I could see that being a boss too. With his involvement with Azerite, it'd make sense.
Evil only wins when it spreads. It can cause destruction, it can cause death—but those are consequences of its nature, not its victory. Not its goal. The danger of evil, the purpose of evil, is that it causes those who would oppose it to become evil also.

There is a fairly lengthy theory that Gallywix is not only an unironic dreadlord but Detheroc himself. While I think it's a longshot it's a fun idea and the fact that Gallywix was the one to show Sylvanas the Azerite (confirming a Jailer "prophecy") is an interesting point. Also general gluttony - sin - revendreth vibe (and they made Detheroc into a fatty in WC3RE)

I think the ACTUAL dark secret will be Gallywix sold us out to the ethereals and Xal and/or repaired the dark heart, but this would be amazing too.
Man, I'm finally going to get this car after all this time.
I started out pretty young around Cataclysm, I've been dreaming of having this ride since I was a kid! I can't believe I'm going to have a childhood dream come true + housing... I feel like I'm going to wake up and it'll all be just another dream.
