Have Blizzard ever talked about "The Archons"?
Maybe I'm getting old and forgetful, but I don't recall them ever talking about them or reading about them in-game.
I haven't read Chronicle; were they mentioned in the book?

If I'm right; do you think we will learn about them in-game eventually, or do you think they were scrapped?

Interesting change on the roadmap. So I guess housing is super late next year?
Let's check the dates:
- 11.0.0: 26-08
- 11.0.5: 23-10 (8 weeks from launch)
- 11.0.7: 18-12 (8 weeks from 11.0.5)

So it seems they're pretty dead set on the 8 week cadence so far. Let's extrapolate:
- 11.1: 12-02
- 11.1.5: 09-04
- 11.1.7: 04-06
- 11.2: 30-07
- 11.2.5: 24-09
- 11.2.7: 19-11
- 12.0 (PrePatch): 14-01-'26
- 12.0 (Midnight launch): 11-03-'26

If we assume they can stick to this cadence:
- Housing would come before prepatch according to the roadmap, as it is on the 2025 roadmap, but prepatch would release in 2026 if they stick to an 8 week cadence. This means that maybe housing comes in 11.2.7 or some kind of 11.2.9 patch.
- This means that the ~11-03-2026 release date for Midnight is plausible
- This would mean no Season 4 for TWW
- TWW would then become the shortest expansion ever with around ~562 days

It's fel green and there's not really anything about the current storyline to suggest we're likely to visit another Zereth, unless it's the Order one as the finale of TLT.

Imo depends how next Remix (or whatever that comes next Winter) will look like. If it's like Pandaria where your gameplay are mostly transmog runs with people where boss fall on your sight, no harm in adding extra short Season, especially for PVP/M+ people. Otherwise we will probably run same season from next ~August to February/March, which is not tragedy, but still Fated was always cheap way to avoid extending season beyond usual 5/6 months.

So imo Remix should take place of extra season, let's say it's Legion - so new PVP season (with some Legion recolor rewards), 8 Legion M+, Legion raids with wacky mechanics similar to Shadowlands Fated.

Maybe that's also why they dont hold back and give 5 TWW dungeons in Season 2, when they could give 3 for S2 and 3 for S3. S3 could simply use few S1 TWW dungeons if Fated isn't coming.

August to February would be 6 months, which is usually the pace at which they release big patches so would fit imo. Release 11.2 in August-ish, then later in the year they can do a Remix and then release Midnight in February.

It's possible we don't get a Remix this time as well tbh but I would love it if they replaced Fated seasons, or ran alongside them so there's something for everyone.

I thought DF/TWW release is not precise 8 weeks just rough 2 months, but after looking at dates I'm surprised how close they were, here are only anomalies:

- 10.1 was 2 weeks earlier, 10.1.5 - 2 weeks later, clearly to make room for Diablo 4
- 10.2 was 1 week later, because 8 weeks fell on Blizzcon '23
- 10.2.5 was 2 week later, because 8 weeks fell on 2nd January (kinda confirm our predictions that first half of January is extremely unlikely for patches)
- 10.2.6 was week later, but they again autocorrect themselves with 1 week earlier 10.2.7
- 11.0 prepatch was 3 week later than usual

So compared to strict 8 week cadence, they "lost" 6 week. But.. then we have pre-patch->launch periods, which both took 5 weeks, taking 2x3 weeks from "normal" schedule. Which means.. we have EXACTLY 8 week patch cadence of average (if we count system pre-patch and expansion launch as separate patches, which I think we should) since 25th October '22 when DF pre-patch launched.

Of course it's little crazy to call precise dates now, but imo - unless something in Blizz will really fuck up - small delay will be corrected and overall picture should look similar.

I REALLY wonder how long they can keep going with it, especially since TWW seems to have more QA problems than DF.

Heartlands is a great symbol to me that Blizz can still do great faction conflict stories, even if it's not true war. The fact that there is a Human vs Orc story where the Humans are the aggressors/antagonists, but it makes perfect sense why and they are sympathetic (including their crazy "leader", to an extent) is really cool to see in 2024.

Also Geyarah as anything beyond "lol she's like Garrosh get it???" is nice.

Hoping maybe in the Nightfall update we might see a cosmetic update pass on some of the BfA ARs

Maghar need their tattoos decoupled with their skins
Mechagnomes...need a lot of work but hopefully some new paint colors and releasing the other 2 hertiage armor recolors
Dark Iron need their beards and mustaches decoupled
Maybe some new skin colors for Zandalari
Kul Tirans, I know its a crazy wish but maybe some customizations that finally hint towards a Drust lineage

I asked Dave Kosak about it on Bsky, and he said this: "I think it was an idea in our back pocket that may or may not see the "light" of day. Obviously we decided not to print it in the final."

So there was something planned, but it was never put in the final cosmology chart. It's up to Blizzard on whether or not they want to continue with the idea of something above the Naaru.
