man it must suck being black, you simply exist, and someone calls you woke.
The issue is that in the recent expansion (bfa and dragonflight) they remove every basic needs of individuals and people. Then of course any culture and races becomes one with no other need than peace and every resources to reach it.
Dragons do not need to eat apparently, therefore centaurs do not fear them and can remains prosperous with their hunt and everyone wants to be their pals.
Harvesting is an unknown artform on the dragon isles because people only eat meat and there is an abondance of it.
They can hoard whatever amount of gold and artefact without attracting parties of burglars, noone wants to sack their home despite many factions having suffered raids of dragons. Because everyone understands and accepts that these dragons are nice and friendly and could never ever hurt anyone. It's shockingly true, they really don't ever hurt anyone.
Horde and Alliance apparently don't have money issue or lack any resources despite having rollercoaster demographies with seldom land acquisition or loss. They also do not need new land, don't feel threaten by anyone because anyone can be your friend if you help them enough and invest on them resources you pull out of your ass.
There is no storytelling about war if you remove the bare politic and basic needs of people. You can't get to the ugly part of a race and their socities if you don't give them any reason to go there. Why do we need an army ? to protect yourself from people that raid. Why do they raid? Sometimes because its rewarding and sometimes because they're in situations where they don't have the land or the infrastructure to care for their people. Sometimes to cover the cost of the army and investment in defenses. It's basic and yet it works.
But we don't even get halfway there because peace and war are apparently unrelated and all you need for peace is the willpower to forgive and be friends...

We've had great stories about people that resort to the help of gods and unfortunately end up under their servitude or in a situation with no escape. Dark Iron Dwarves and Dragon Maw Orcs both work there, these are good stories but imagine telling them today. The story will end up being about how to help them get out of this situation they've created for themselves despite their acts of aggression. We would destroy their tyrant, rendering them free and completely forgetting why they resorted to the help of that god.
Yeah everyone is happy and we live in peace! Wait oh shit that is exactly what we did for the dark iron dwarves... they still live in a volcano and have no farmable land or access to food... I guess it's not an issue if you don't acknowledge it in game...
We already had similar story’s with the centaur and gnolls in dragon flight, we killed the centaur leader and kept fighting them Even getting Baine in on it, and with the gnolls there leader ran off and we will continue to fight them.
We won’t see every such conflict end in peace.
Evil only wins when it spreads. It can cause destruction, it can cause death—but those are consequences of its nature, not its victory. Not its goal. The danger of evil, the purpose of evil, is that it causes those who would oppose it to become evil also.

All good! Glad we could figure that out!
Honestly it is kinda funny to me the whole metallic skin thing anyway. That seems kind of a remnant of back when they were more norse-themed (aesir and vanir titans).
As for the trading post, I'm actually a bit disappointed with the nether drake. I was expecting more. Least its usable as a dragonriding mount. (edit: Oh right pretty much all dragons being made available in the patch, right)

Not really similar stories, just similar resolution though. Where we hug and forget why we fought and why the conflict rose in a first place. I would say it's almost a form of harassment in dragonflight how much they push for their "let's all be nice and respectful".
In recent questlines I was happily getting behind Azuregos because he was telling things like they are : "We don't have time for this and we can't let everyone do as they please, we're the blue dragonflight if people start messing with the remnants of an arcane bombs we blast them with arcane energy and be done with it". But they had to impose Kalecgos naive worldview...

Well Teal isnt a woke skin colour obviously. The developers had to go and make her not just the woke skin colour, but the woke gender as well. Clearly they are desperate for attention. /s

The Titans were described as actually being humanoid planets when you looked closely as well at some point. They were described as having mountain ranges and rivers on their arms and whatnot.
For the Netherdrake I am just glad they keep adding more dragonriding options. Hopefully they do eventually get to making all mounts using the current dragonriding skeletons eligible for Dragonriding, but I will take the Netherdrake for now.

We literally killed the centaur leader and the primalist behind him only for them to attack peaceful cows who show up and Baine then going berserk and massacring them in return after going on a couple of racist rants to the friendly centaur.
Like you couldn’t get further from “ hug and forget why we fought”.

I think you are being a bit harsh on that quest. It was less about let's all be hippies, and more about acknowledging that killing people who are grieving to make it fit more neatly on your agenda is a bit much when you could instead just talk them down from the ledge.
It was less about forgiving war criminals, and more about not shooting the obviously distressed 15 year old because it's quicker.

Hah good point. Honestly I dig their design. Also their name is apparently Amitus, for what its worth, described as a "peacekeeping titan".
And yeah I was trying to recall their descriptions as being less metal-based and more just...planetary. Which lets you get some neat designs.
I edited it in but I completely forgot about the dragon skeleton expansion thing. More options are great, and I love that it includes a few non-dragons that do use the skeletons (i.e. the firehawks).
You're right but the thing is that the evil centaurs are distinct from the civilised ones and there is no reason provided to why they are warmongering. They're just presented as ambitious and without respect for anything... evil
So Baine is making peace with other hippies, which boils down to Baine got racist and realized that "when we put aside our differences we see we are kind of the same"
