Unlikely. There are 3 variants of this item and they are rare quality. They'll be in the trading post or a renown reward.

You can have a glimpse at their animation. Sadly, it doesn't seem that they have all the class cast animation which makes it unlikely that they'll become an allied race.

No reason for them to have full animations 2 patches before Midnight. I think the female models/customizations are more indicative.

Looking through the tier sets, aside from warriors and locks which have the same silhouette as usual, i like that they tried to do something a tad bit different for the other sets.

I don't think it necessarily works for every set *cough* hunters/DHs *cough* but its nice to see some creativity.

That's a nice coat a shame we still don't have those LV70ETC Managers' Sunglasses on Retail yet for Transmog. Closer and closer to Wolfslayer Sniper Rifle + Coat + Sunglasses.

Is it just me or are these animations really damn smooth? I hope they do become a race in some way. As for animations it is possible they could still be working on the more player specific ones but who knows.

Hopefully the Life Pantheon are called "The Celestials" or summ like that.

It's entirely possible that there could be some Ethereals within the Darkfuse as there are some within Nerub'ar Palace. Some Ethereal factions seem to be playing the role of Xal'atath's lieutenants, so it would make sense if they are involved with her interests.

I'd say they're less playable races and more of what you're saying. The Shadowguard Ethereal were active in the novels scouting all of Azeroth on Xal's behalf pre-patch but ingame we haven't seen them since the Seat of Tirumvirate, the 5 man in Argus.

They were overdue an appearance at this point to be honest.

I think the flying Draenei city has a huge chance to make an appearance, but it will be a bummer if it's not in Kalimdor, especially as the Kaldorei are still a presence there.

Draenei cities don't fly though. And the schematics shown in the Heritage questline looked like Shattrath.

I'd like one of those raids that shift themes, in 11.2. You know like SoO. Makes for a neat adventure.

Wing 1 - defend the roots of Elun'Ahir and purge them from blood.

Wing 2 - Xal'atath's awakening. Fight voidy beasts and reach her old body.

Wing 3 - unexpected Ethereal attack, disruption of the ritual. Slight detour to K'aresh through a portal, to reclaim the Dark Heart or something.

Wing 4 - something to do with the Earthen and Keepers, perhaps Xal'atath reclaiming the Dark Heart and completing the ritual.

Wing 4 should take place at the Worldsoul.

Could those Lunar and Solar sets be a reward for completing 24 months of the Trader's log? 2 year anniversary is next month.

Does that work for any other race than Human male? Human males have had this trenchcoat since BFA because so many cultiran NPCs used this. Even the Plunderstorm set has the bottom part of the coat in chest slot for human males when it is on pants for other races.

There's also a sun variant. And the shoulder piece has a moon and a sun version. But it seems like they're linked to the Darkmoon horses as there is a back piece with the same "theater" symbol.
