You can't even read properly never mind try and tell me what the Void is. I said what I said. Or you clearly didn't play through the Argus questlines, 1 of the 2 or maybe both.

A Void Elf Rogue uses Shadow magic to get to Tolorgrus Rift, I've seen it all now. Don't get me started on Monks summoning with Celestials with shadow magic

I...did read what you told me. I literally gave you examples on how portals work, especially for powerful entities.

Worldsouls and their energies being used for portals ain't even a new concept, look at the Well of Eternity. Sure, the Well was pumped with a ton of Arcane energies, but not only does that apply to Azeroth's Worldsoul as a whole, but K'aresh's soul was also likely pumped with a ton of Arcane energies. And If not from the Titans, then definitely from the Ethereals.

    - - - Updated - - -

Summoning Dimensius from the Void VIA a powerful portal is not the same as summoning a Void Elf to Telogrus Rift VIA a portal.

One is immensely powerful and is one of the lords and embodiments of non existence, while the other is a Void Elf.

There's just no way Locus-Walker isn't involved imo

I think you're misinterpreting what the "void" is, in real life it would just be any place which is beyond the solar system, like beyond Neptune and Pluto, just far far away, unhabituated, no one will ever go and will ever be able to go there, just completely out the way.
In real life, there is no equivalent to the Void. What you're talking about is the Great Dark Beyond, which is just the in-universe name for space.

We know what's beyond Neptune and Pluto. We have gone there already. It's far from empty, and that still is entirely different from the Void.

I don't think you understand either concept nearly as well as you think.

The councilification of the horde continues. Goblins have been taken over by bland socialists, meanwhile Gnomes maintain their based monarcho-meritocracy. Proving once and for all that Gnomes > Goblins.

Untrue, oh, goblins were green gnomified thoroughly this go-around, no doubt about that, Gazlowe's execrable short story was inevitable in that event, but gnomes did switch from elective monarchy to the more classical kind when Gelbin took over Mechagon.

K'aresh is datamined as the raid, but the Black Blood has been the connecting tissue of the last two patches, has no reason to show up later and Orweyna has also popped up repeatedly to allude to the Rootlands. It might exist solely as a raid, while the Rootlands are the actual zone. It'd also help Blizzard to avoid purple overdose when an upcoming expansion will also be stuck with that color scheme.

So, Azir and the these ethereals in Undermine are not working for Xal? Called it! It was simple to read in the way they took the heart and from the context clues of the quest.

And i think people are jumping too quickly on the "we're going to K'aresh!" train. I mean, just look at that area Azir is standing in the shot. All purple darkness. This would be HORRIBLE as a final zone. It would be like Telogrus Rift, but for everything.

Why we're likely not going to K'aresh: WE, as in the player character and the supporting cast (Alleria, Gazlow, Orwyna) don't know that the ethereals are not working for Xal yet. And the next patch has Nightfall Events and Horrific Visions, so something is coming to us. Either Xal's last gambit or the ethereals. We have to see and wait which of the two.
it is very likely 11.1.5 is based on Xal, then 11.1.7 will likely deal with the Haranir (xals black blood leading into this) before the finale with the ethereals in 11.2. and their actions, likely in Hallowfall, tying the last story of TWW up before moving to Midnight.

Actually, K'aresh might end up as the starting area of the ethereals and/or the Midnight Class, if we get one. And a void based class is highly expected for midnight.

Was it datamined, is that assumed because of the "Etherealweapon" leak?

Cause for all we know, 11.2 could be something entirely different, but Ethereals could take center stage there.

The "etherealraid" icon datamines that also tipped us off about the goblin raid, as @Joshuaj mentioned. And yes, 11.2 could feasibly be another zone with an ethereal raid.

I would also agree it'd be even more of a U-turn than Undermine, as Undermine was at least alluded to from day 1 and is on-brand as both an underground location and was at least tied sequentially to the start of the expansion by the Black Blood. Not that it'd be the only expansion related to Azeroth being wounded where Magni plays a prominent role, a Horde leader gets nixed to be replaced by a bargain bin nice guy and which gives up on its premise at the finish line to be about visiting a purple alternate world instead.

Etherealraid doesn't necessitate K'aresh. It could be some other hub for the ethereals, like we have seen on Outland, or it could be even an invasion style raid, in a TWW location

You know what, I don't even care when / if we're going to K'aresh. I just want playable Ethereals.

Possible, but not especially likely, as we're not doing two raids about Ethereals in the same saga, K'aresh is tied in (speciously) by Locus-Walker's line at the very start of the expansion about how the Radiant Song signals Dimensius, who destroyed K'aresh. Xal'atath is his herald and so as someone up top mentioned, seeing a world destroyed by Dimensius also serves as a sell for the stakes should we fail in Midnight. You can (though won't) also fit it in with the mythical 'we lose' ending, where we raid the ethereals and beat them, but since they were working against her, we play ourselves, she gets the Dark Heart back and kicks off the start of Midnight.

Why do you think we will Raid K'aresh in the first place. It is a dead world with nothing major going on there. I wouldn't be surprised if there would be no Raids/Dungeon/Delve on K'aresh at all. At best we might get a flash back to before it was destroyed. but i doubt we visit it in any meaningful way in its current state

Been expressing this. 11.2 could just be an Elun'ahir raid where we enter the roots of the tree, which would lead us to the Worldcore. And both during that trip and at the Worldcore itself, we'll face off against Haranir Void aligned guys, Ethereals, and Xal'atath herself.

Fairly certain the raid is gonna end with us beating Xal'atath, but not killing her, as I imagine she'll escape last minute. That, or we destroy her body and her essence runs away. Regardless, she'll return to the Void a failure.

    - - - Updated - - -

Basically, think of her as the reverse Jailer. Where everything eventually went right for him in the end til the final raid, everything goes wrong for Xal'atath til the final raid.

    Xal'atath on fraud watch ngl

In all likelihood, a raid set on K'aresh wouldn't be about fighting Ethereals so much as fighting the general forces of the Void, but also this idea of exclusivity has no precedent. DF had us fighting Incarnates and their Primalist minions in two tiers. SL had us fighting Mawsworn in two tiers. We fought Legion forces in Hellfire and then fought them again in half of Nighthold, Tomb and Antorus in the following expansion. We fought Orcs in MoP and then for most of an expansion in WoD.

Also, the Ethereal and Goblin icons aren't exactly a 1:1 situation, since one of those etherealraid icons was literally the raid trinket from the ethereal boss in Nerub'ar, and two item icons is still a hell of a lot less than all the files/textures/objects/etc tagged Rootlands.

Absolutely nothing changed about the Goblins form of governance.
It's still a society run by Cartels and their bosses.

The current leaders are just nicer and a bit more cooperative.

Some interesting point someone made in a reddit post:

Let's assume Azir is on K'aresh at the end of the cinematic. The dark heart can absorb void magics. What if these ethereals plan to remove to void energies from K'aresh's reamins, but in so doing filling the dark heart with loads of energy. Then the dark heart returns to Azeroth (be it through us in the ethereal raid, or through Xal's machinations), and this dark heart, fueled by the power that destroyed K'aresh caused Midnight by releasing the void energies upon azeroth.

It would certainly be a twist, to what we assumed that would start midnight, but still work perfectly well for the story.

Sure could be a twist for sure.

But, just like any speculation, see Sylvanas and the tree, gallywix is a dreadlord or literally any end of story. Mmo champion or any fan forum love to see twists and stuff like that. If we learned anything from the pasts its that wow always goes for the obvious route. Look there and dont expect twists. Its usually the obvious outcome. People like to come up with crazy theories, but it always ends in dissappoitments. Speculation is fun up to a certain point, but being more realistic saves you from that.

    Just saying.
