Speaking of datamining, when do you think we're likely to get a real look at stuff like furniture listings? Housing is presumably in the back half of 11.2 (e.g. 11.2.7 or 11.2.9 or something), so it's not inconceivable that the 11.2 initial builds might have some of the background structure for it, right?

I'm curious how much of the old auto-converted doodad stuff will be in the first release, if we'll just immediately have thousands of options or if they'll slowly parse out the older stuff to ensure each subsequent patch has a large amount of added housing content.

Oh god, imagine having to wait like six years for that one specific Pandaren rug or Ardenweald table you want to get added.

Still heartbroken we didn't get a lil Nya'lotha zone, lots of debate on that one pre reveal.

Great question! No idea at all. 11.2 having some of the tech on board is a possibility depending on how far along they are (maybe we'll find out today?) and depending on when they want to launch it. It being 'pre-Midnight' could also just be Midnight pre-patch being super early. However, coming to think of it, some of the textures appearing in 11.1.7 could indicate that they're working on player housing on the 11.x branch. Could still be 11.2.5 or 11.2.7 until DB2s show up though. Hmm!

Hmmm, probably no 11.2 today then.
To add to your thoughts, an announcement like 11.2 wouldn't really require other content creators to come by and test. The fact that they invited all these people would be more so for a new community feature.

Someone made the point earlier, but 11.2 would also probably be teased a bit more beforehand.

Then again, so would a Warcraft Direct for housing, so maybe something that big is not on the table either.

EDIT: Taliesin's video is premiering at top of the hour anyways apparently. YouTube's autogenerated tags are interesting (nice find, Chelf).

I legit just think it has something to do with the new horror mode coming.

It's way too early for that I think, they didn't even tease it on the road map like they did Legion Remix/Early Access Housing.

I think the only way I could be disappointed is if it's JUST interior housing videos with all the props we have seen. There's gotta be something new.

Housing has me pleasantly optimistic as someone who previously considered it a poor allocation of dev resources. The freedom of the system shown so far and the reusage of older doodads really turned my opinion around. There's so many nice looking old assets.

They haven't really gone too deep into neighborhoods with so that's where my guess is.

Yup, saw someone else look through and find these as well. I'm guessing Neighborhood and revamped Elwynn & Durotar reveal.

Will be fun, but god all I want is 11.2 lol

I am realllllllly keen to get my hands on that furniture.db2. I wonder how long it will take MMO-C and Wowhead to organize full galleries of the available objects.

I still don't understand why some people want Karesh for 11.2 instead of Midnight.

I'm sure Wowhead will have a tool ready to go shortly after the data comes out.

I think they're mostly thinking short-term, where it sounds a lot more exciting for the final patch of TWW to be K'aresh than Rootlands/The Cradle/the core, etc.

Personally because I would prefer Midnight to entirely, or mostly, take place on Azeroth. Also because the alternatives for 11.2 in TWW itself are not of interest to me (Rootlands and/or Beledar)

Just one reason of many: K'aresh in 11.2 opens up the possibility for more revamped old zones in Midnight.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.

It's quite interesting if we don't see it as some kind of Argus 2.0 (it being a stronghold of the Void, the headquarters of Dimensius, you name it). It could function a bit differently for the plot of TWW.

Though it begs the question which kind of areas will be left for Midnight's patches. As the Worldcore could always be visited during TLT.

How though? K'aresh as a launch zone for Midnight was a fringe theory at best. The only real argument for it was that Ethereals could be a new race, and that they would have a starting zone on K'aresh. But there really isnt anything that states it definitely has to happen that way. Neither K'aresh as a starting zone, or for that matter that it can't be a tiny bit of K'aresh that we see more of when we return.
The world revamp dream will never die!

I would argue the core is far more suited for The Last Titan.
