I wonder if there are other Prime Worldsouls? It's not been confirmed that Azeroth is the only one.

People may clown on me for this, but the only time I would like parallel universes/timelines again is if we see something like that.
A world soul in Draenor, instead of Azeroth, for example. I would love to see what things would be like if their positions were swapped.
What if Sargeras chose a different planet than Argus for his base?

I really hope that they completely ditch alternate timelines (save for Yrel's army, too late for that one). They never work out and Blizzard won't be able to handle something like that decently. It has already been a disaster IMO. We only have to watch Danuser's interview trying to explain how the souls of one character get mixed in the Shadowlands. It's just embarrasing.
I admit that I'm just against multiverse shit in general. It feels so cheap and lazy.
Anyway, will we be surprised with 11.2 reveal today? Wishful thinking, I'm aware, but they might want to make the big reveal in a WoWCast and then talk a bit about it in the coming events. I just don't really know how much time they have on these events for a proper reveal.

Here is the thing. If they had 11.2 PTR coming, if they had news coming at all this early, why would they have timegated 11.1.7 content this hard?
Nah news sites still have Horrific Vision talk to do this week (the Orgrimmar rares etc) and from Tuesday on they will talk Dastardly duos. I don't expect us to get more news until they run out of retail content to talk about (and we could always get some surprise Classic announcement in between, what with SoD being completed)

Around 4 weeks of waiting, guys. You'll manage :P
Seems that something related to 11.2.5 was briefly shown in the PTR. Weird that Wowhead didn't catch this.

The article says that a new build wasn't deployed, just a new realm, and that for a brief moment players could enter.
Probably nothing important, maybe @Marlamin could enlighten us if this is just the normal procedure.

Most dataminers/outlets caught this last night but didn't want to post about it since it's obviously internal stuff. It's not exactly normal procedure but given how long 11.2 has been on the encrypted endpoint it would make sense that they'd set up internal alpha realms for 11.2.5 (and probably soon after, push it to the encrypted endpoints).
The realm was never accessible to players and was offline/locked while it was publicly visible for those few hours, it was also on build 11.2.5.61107 so nobody could join regardless since that client isn't available.
Also, keeping in mind this...
... I would not be surprised if that had something with them working more ahead of us than ever before. If anything, this means we'll see the patches after 11.2 (including possibly player housing...) on PTR even sooner than would usually be the case as 11.2 has been on the encrypted endpoint for 3 months now.
Starting to feel like a possibility that we'll get player housing testing starting up before Midnight public testing does.
Thank you for your insight and quick answer.
You're right. I misread the article. Players could copy their characters but not enter in the new realm.
Has any patch been so long in the PTR before? 3 months seems almost like a beta. I doubt that any patch in this new era could be bigger than 8.2, but they might surprise us...

11.1.0 was encrypted-only for around 70 days before it hit PTR. 11.2.0 has been encrypted-only for over 90 days now, which does feel the longest a non-expansion patch has ever been encrypted-only for, but I don't have the stats in front of me right now.
Keep in mind this could just be part of their new process vs. a sign of how big 11.2 is, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Wonder if we'll get an updated roadmap when 11.2 is revealed that also teases names and/or features of 11.2.5 and 11.2.7.
We had the 10.2.6 crossbones flag and 10.2.7 "Dark Heart" with pandamonium (remix) + troll/draenei heritage armor shown on roadmap before 10.2.5 released, so I hope we get to speculate on the last features of war within patches before midnight is revealed.
Housing probably needs a decent amount of testing. Getting the UI right will be very important.
