Good lord, I hope it looks even a fraction like that. I think however much people were in love with Suramar, Silvermoon is going to absolutely blow it away. As it should 10 year later.

And to the red, I actually think that bit makes sense even if it was a gimmic. Switching allegiances and changing imagery to appease your new allies is something that happened in history all the time.

I mean sure but it just sounds so crazy. Half the city is in ruins, populated by the Wretched, we have no idea where kael'thas is, zombies are at the gate 24/7 and here we are painting our roofs red.

Yes, but only people who know what Silvermoon is. Random people aren't going to care about what to them is just some generic fantasy city in a foresty place.

Cool fantasy cities get people excited all the time. Most of the friends I forced to watch LoTR mainly talked about how cool the cities looked.

Priorities man, the way you present yourself is most important espesially for ex highborne.

I can really see Silvermoon being absolutely next level terms of what a city looks like in WoW. They definitely have been experimenting with urban spaces in TWW and Silvermoon is going to be very unique.

The obviously issue is it will continue to move the goalpost of the world revamp and sadly its becoming more and more intangible.

Cities in WoW are disappointing and this image made me realize that we'll never get that in-game... I'm sure they could do it technically, but for some reason Blizzard is allergic to megacities. Silvermoon should be like Suramar, but enlarged x2 or even x3.

Just a thought... if K'aresh had a worldsoul, Dimensius didn't just destroy it for fun. The Titans said in the archives that they wanted to guide the Azeroth worldsoul to become the most powerful of the Titans. So if cosmic pantheon members can do that, so can Dimensius.

Doesn't anyone care that K'aresh is potentially a fucking Void lord or a black titan? This raises the stakes very high for Midnight.

Dimensius could've just eaten it. Either all by himself or sharing it with the other hypothetical void lords.

Or I'm wrong and a new void lord made from Karesh will be introduced soon.

Part of me is really worried about the cinematic. Obviously subjective, but DF and TWW’s cinematics were a huge miss imo.
Really hope they deliver a much better cinematic for Midnight’s reveal.

I don't know what they were thinking with DF's cinematic. The worst one of the game by far. Not in terms of quality obviously, it's just shit in every other regard.

TWW's is okay. Not bad, not good (always leaving quality aside).

I also don't know what to expect from the Midnight one. Especially when we don't know how the Void invasion happens.

For me the one with the most potential is TLT without a doubt. Players are too focused in Midnight when I believe that the best expansion in every regard will be TLT.

I think TLT just has far too many unknowns. What are we actually getting? Is Northrend getting the WoD Draenor treatment to be a totally new (maybe thawed) place? Is it just gonna be HD Northrend? What is it even going to be the quest/combat content for most zones when 90% of WotLK was fighting the Scourge and the Scourge is largely dealt with? Are we just fighting titan stuff?

The only real substance to TLT Hype is basically "I liked Wrath", but we have no real idea what it's going to be.

I expect TLT to be pure anti-Titan slop. I guess Illidan will be there too. But probably a neutered Illidan.

Those Elves and their vanity, amirite.

It's not really different from the Orcs having the time to festoon literally all of Orgrimmar with extra spikes and random bits of metal everywhere as they're suffering a cataclysm and are going to war over a shortage of resources. To Blizzard, aesthetics have always been a priority over logic.

Yeah they could have done so much with the DF cinematic. It's an expansion about dragons ffs, how did they manage to make the cinematic the most boring they have ever released is beyond me. So disappointing.

The same goes for the TWW for me, although at least it had important characters but it was still boring imo.

Let's hope they do much better going forward. I love rewatching cinematics but the DF and TWW one I have only watched once and I have no intention to watch them again lol

If they repainted everything manually, or it took anywhere near the kind of time and effort this kind of redesign would take in real life, then it would be a waste to prioritize that over rebuilding. But this is Quel'thalas- they tend to use magic to automate that kind of trivial task. I'd assume that they just animated some paintbrushes to do it for them, or cast spells to quickly alter everything's appearance, or something along those lines, and dedicated their actual effort towards clearing out threats so they could rebuild the rest.

Also, Blood Elves used the red color scheme back in TFT, before Kael'thas joined Illidan (and went missing from his people's perspective), so they weren't redecorating instead of looking for him.

Draenor treatment or it would feel like a scam. That's a no brainer.

    TLT could have amazing stuff:

    - Dragon war against Iridikron.
    - Scourge (hopefully a new Decay Scourge).
    - Arthas, Lich King(s) and Death Knight's stuff.
    - Scarlet Crusade and Arathi's stuff.
    - Azjol-Nerub underground zone.
    - Azjol-Nerub's nerubians joining Azj'kahet ones.
    - Rootlands / Haranir zone.
    - Pretty sure that the Djaradin will be there.
    - If there are Djaradin... War against Vrykul? Cool.
    - Playable Vrykul?
    - New Tinker/Tech class?
    - Ulduar expanded and the war against the Titans.
    - Kicking Odyn's ass.
    - Fighting the "good" Keepers (Mimiron, Thorim...).
    - Earthen meeting their Khaz Algar cousins.
    - Sargeras and the Legion.
    - Illidan.
    - Void still a threat?
    - Nagas?
    - Helya?

Just re-visiting that amazing continent revamped would be awesome. Cannot wait to see ICC's revamped version.

I can't exactly say "anti-Titan" is the part of this I'm not looking forward to. The idea that the Titans are prospectively a threat to mortal life under the wrong conditions is entirely precedented and has been since Wrath of the Lich King. What I think is trite is going to be the seemingly-inevitable "muh poor innocent Azeroth needs protecting against muh bad evil (painfully incoherent and typically flat) cosmic powers" or the Light getting hit with the villain stick.

I didn't really mean it in terms of update quality. I expect they'll fully update the continent one way or the other. I more meant will it be 1:1 Northrend but in modern quality, or will it, like Draenor where most of the continent will be completely different sorts of environments from the original. Are we going to show up in Borean Tundra and it's the same Borean Tundra but much nicer looking, or are we going to show up there and that zone is now "the Borean Collapse" and 3/4s of the zone has caved into Azjol-Nerub?

Will it be like Felfire SMV -> lush Shadowmoon and Blades Edge -> Gorgrond; or will it be like Nagrand -> Nagrand?

I have a hard time imagining that Grizzly Hills will just be HD Grizzly Hills when Azure Span is already that and much nicer. For all that Northrend was nice in size and atmosphere, the zones are pretty boring these days. Borean is mostly just open tundra, Dragonblight is mostly just open snow plains, Fjord is mostly just grassy cliffs.
