This is exactly how they started their Legion reveal in Gamescom, only time they have revealed an expansion outside of Blizzcon:
Features Gul'dan, who people know from Warcraft RTS games and the then recent Warcraft movie, and ends with revealing Ilidan in his prison. The Expansion logo and title at the end of you YouTube upload wasn't part of the Gamescom presentation.
After this teaser there were still some talking on stage before they dropped the Feature Trailer with the expansion title.

There's just nothing they can really market to a mainstream audience with where we're at with The War Within. They'd have to manufacture it from thin air and divert extreme resources to sell a CGI Cinematic of something tangentially tied to the End Periods of TWW/Pre-Start Midnight and it just doesn't look very likely.
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

I'm aware of the first point. The point of Exteriors tho is to kinda flex how rich you are or how cool your house is on the outside lol.
Also, in the small Neighborhood video preview that we saw, there was what appeared to be a Human house but with a working chimney. Looked similar to the cottage but also not, so idk...
It's possible there might be 3 exterior options idk.
The Horde neighborhood concept showed 3 different tiered orc buildings. So I think 3 exterior options is a reasonable assumption.
Beyond that, I am sure there's going to be MTX that effects the exterior of your building as well. I am interest to see just how big the plots are and how big your house can be relative to that.

Don't expect any housing news today btw

To be fair I literally have shown people who have never interacted with Warcraft at all the rejection of the gift cinematic and they thought it was hype and cool and worth checking out
People here are acting like players need to know something to be excited for it when really it just needs to seem interesting to be worth learning about, like you know all the new games/IPs that show stuff off at events like this

You have it backwards. You need to imagine what a crowd of people who don't play wow are seeing what a video plays, and what Blizzard would want to put in front of that sort of crowd:
This is exactly why I pointed out that the Tomb trailer is incomprehensible. It's not about that specific moment in Legion's story, it's that any given moment of "we're about to go to a place" is incomprehensibly to people who are not or have not played the game. Especially when it isn't about a person slightly more ubiquitous known as Arthas or Illidan.Picture a trailer with... some elf lady you don't know. She gives some dramatic, ominous speech about a bunch of places and events you have no reference for "I watched my world burn at the hands of the orcs, I ventured through a portal..." blah blah blah, alongside some awesome B-roll footage of... some generic looking warrior guys fighting green glowing rock giants?
Then end in an epic way with her talking about whispering or something, killing some glowy guys in bandages and spider things, before she stands heroically before... a purple glowy orb, or some city with obelisks, or a pool of glowing water or something.
"The fight for Azeroth's worldsoul begins now..." (who is Azeroth and what is a worldsoul?)
"World of Warcraft: Shadows of K'aresh" or whatever, followed by "Get. In. This. Fight."
"Wow, what if you show K'aresh's worldsoul" is only an exciting, enganging thing to, not even the average wow player, but specifically a small segment of the playerbase who follow ongoing story and lore enough to know that K'aresh is the Ethereal homeworld, and likely had a worldsoul and have been considering that a possibility recently enough to recognize some nondescript broken planet with a glowy orb thing.
So instead you are much more likely to talk about actual features that might interest people, or show off in-game footage of a new fancy looking zone.

I think there is a lot of confirmation bias going on in this thread, but everyone in this thread needs to remember that the average WoW player (and in fact most WoW players I would say) does not know what a Karesh is, and I would be surprised if the funny mummies were even called Ethereals. No one actually cares about Turalyon other than being the guy who got beat by Illidan. The average player doesn't care in the slightest about cool lore moments.
The player base HATES cinematics that are not epic shots with no real narrative. You think the non-playerbase wants that?
Honestly, it needs to be like the Undermined trailer. You need to have no real knowledge of Warcraft whats going on, it's fun and it shows you what the update is about.

Excuse me, are we playing the same game?
The real legends are Sylvanas, Illidan and the Lich King. Alleria and Turalyon are so... unpopular and secondary, even well behind a rather long list of characters like Azshara.
Only because she's Sylvanas' sister. Remove Sylvanas and she's irrelevant.

I think Alleria and Turalyon have cool enough visuals that they can feel interesting even to players who don't quite know the game.
