While I am curious about some exterior features, like if furnishings are flagged on a piece by piece basis such that some can only be placed inside, etc. I'd honestly prefer to get clarification on the mechanics and systems behind neighborhoods.

When Blizzard said you can make a Halloween house or a Christmas house, I think that includes Exterior stuff as well. Meaning, you can probably add ornaments, lights, exterior holiday decor, etc.

I think this stuff will sort itself out if it is extremely intrusive and awful, it will be changed after a few update cycles so I never really worried too much about how the Neighbourhood mechanics and systems might erode the social experience in the neighbourhoods.

I’ve been very clear for a while now that I’m a teacher. I’m just a huge WOW fanboy, HYPE man, and enjoy keeping people optimistic and excited. The pessimism in this channel lately has been depressing.

I expect an announcement to the reveal date very soon. Since their marketing shift post-Blizzcon '23, they've pretty much notified every time they were going to reveal something ahead of time. Example, they posted an article prior to their X-Box showcase last year when they revealed TWW's release date. We knew ahead of time they'd show something at the X-Box showcase. 11.1's reveal came from a showing they notified us of ahead of time. 11.2 will likely be the same. I don't think it'll be a surprise drop.

I'd expect exterior desing to be more limited than inside to stop people from filling neighbourhoods with phallic sculptures.

Eh. I expect it to limit capacity and what is peaceable mostly to ensure that neighborhoods don't get too laggy, especially towards the more dense 'downtown' areas where there's like a dozen houses right next to each other or whatnot. That'd be a lot of objects to load in and have around for people on lower end systems.

The phallic sculpture thing is more of an HOA or TOS thing. You don't need a thousand item catalog for that, people could do it with regular exterior bushes and flowerpots or whatever.

How similar a system is this? I *vaguely* remember EQ2, but I did some quests that rewarded furniture and when I got to my house it was pre-fabbed but not furnished. Then it was a drag and drop + scaling to plop objects around.

I think that it is clear that they will let us know in advance when they are going to announce 11.2. Hopefully this week but no guarantees.

Blizzard shouldn't be happy. They collaborated quite a bit recently, so I guess that this behaviour would have consequences for them.
