Judging by the quality of most of the patches this expansions longer testing doesn't mean better quality. Shouldn't really matter if its 5 weeks or 8.

It would be an awful reveal if the reason they are doing such limited testing is because it's a tiny patch.

Very unlikely given how much it has been on the PTR.

New zone, new raid, new dungeon and new world challenges (whatever that ends up being). Just with that we have a more than decent patch regarding content.

Maybe we shouldn't discard the option of 11.2 going live after Midnight's reveal. It already happened with BfA being revealed before we knew how Legion ended if I recall correctly.

as far as major patch zones go undermine is really quite small so i would expect it to be significantly larger. undermine was a unique scenario that was built to be small, as its extremely dense

Really? IMO 8.2 is the best patch ever released for WoW.

I agree that we all expected so much more of Nazjatar, but it is a very good zone. Just not enough for what Blizzard led us to believe that Nazjatar was.

Quite frankly, the biggest issue Blizzard has made with 8.2 was calling it "Nazjatar".

It's not even Nazjatar, and Nazjatar has certain expectations. The literal glimpses of Nazjatar actually look interesting, but it's not like we will ever go back to it.

People genuinely overestimate how much testing is actually needed anyway.

Look at the last half of most PTR cycles and you can see pretty much nothing is happening.

Isn't Zereth Mortis comparatively big for a patch zone, maybe even the biggest one (aside from Argus, obviously).

While I agree that Xal'athat has some kind of relation with K'aresh, I doubt that she's looking for K'aresh awakening. She is focused on Azeroth. She could have gone to K'aresh with the Dark Heart since Dragonflight and she didn't. So... highly unlikely.

She needed to fill the dark heart, she was doing it until miss emo came to damage it.

As for the fact that she's “confined to Azeroth”, we don't know. K'aresh is just a way to invade Azeroth in a serious way.

I bet that Azir knows very well what he's doing.

Me too, which is why he stole the heart and plans to go to World Core.

We know that the Dark Heart could be used to store and wield any kind of energy. Azir knows that too. Otherwise it would be kind of stupid to make an enemy of someone like Xal'athat for an artifact that you don't know how to use.

It's like the size of Nazjatar I think, not counting the Sepulcher entrance (which is by far as cool as Ulduar ngl)

Also, I think the First Ones are the swirls we see in the heart of the Sepulcher. The Progenitors were said to be forces prior to the patterns creation, Chronicle's talk on the Shadowlands mythos describes the forces and the First Ones to be seemingly one in the same, the Progenitors pre-pattern made up a fractal, and once the pattern was drawn, the six powers were balanced, etc.

I do think the swirls at the Heart of the Sepulcher (which represent the forces that shape WoW's Universe, mind you) are the First Ones, but they're "inactive". Meaning, they once were manifesting within their design and whatnot, but not anymore.

Would at the very least calm people down over the idea of us potentially "meeting them" or some shit in the future, and it would continue to shut down that crappy retcon idea of the First Ones being the Titans.

Also, them being the forces, or at the very least them being the powers that sort of predate what the forces would become just makes sense.
