Makes me think the next saga might exist to kick off the next 20-30 years of Warcraft. The New Age Saga!
You actually bring up an interesting idea with this; there's a general crumbling of built up powers that we're seeing, almost a leveling of the playing field. This could be a really cool way to introduce a more low stakes RPG feel to whatever comes next following The Last Titan, which is bound to be a very large scale large stake story. We could come out of TLT and very well have to be involved with small stories like parts of the human kingdom rebelling, warlords rising from the ashes of the Burning Legion or Scourge and forming small bands of chaos, a new not so friendly maybe hostile kingdom that somehow exits this ordeal in the Worldsoul Saga unscathed and a lot more powerful than the combined Horde and Alliance.

It'd be a great way to kick it off.

My hope is that, at the very least, we get a short questline somewhere near the end of the expansion where we travel to Uldaman to reactivate Archaedas for questioning by the Council.
I am still somewhat convinced we are going to get thraegar skins for Earthen by the end of the expansion.

I doubt it but that'd be awesome.

Feels like Blizzard employs Jim more than Disney these days.

The finale of the saga after the Worldsoul Saga involving a Demonic War on both Outland and other Nether Worlds would be so fucking cool, I'm so serious! Especially if we're to assume Disorder is the only force without a Pantheon!

I feel like the story is going more in the direction that all earthen will become semi-thraegar with free will imparted by the worldsoul and therefore won't need thraegar proper. The playable earthen are already there since they were imbued with Magni's power and have azerite-based abilities. But maybe instead the point will be that there's no real difference between "regular" (Magni-infused) earthen and thraegar, allowing us the customisation. I have a feeling that won't happen until TLT.

I’m still surprised the 11.1.7 story is not Xal related. Would have been the perfect time to get some backstory on her imo.

Where is the discussion on the Dark World images? Fake? What are the transparent runes around the bottom half of the planet?

Seems fake to me, but it brings an interesting point about Midnight that I'm fairly worried about.

Do you remember when Legion was unveiled? Blizzard showed us the different races and creatures that were part of the Legion's army.

I hope that they do the same for the Void in Midnight, because I think that they might use Void Ethereals as the main antagonist force in Midnight, especially if 11.2 is K'aresh and we presumably lose in some way, leading to the Void invasion.

    That would be a mistake.

Almost certainly fake. All of it is well below typical Blizzard graphic design quality. At a guess, the planet is image-to-image ai generated from the k'aresh teaser screenshot, because the patterning of the swirl is almost identical, like what you'd get if you fed a picture to AI and told it to make that same picture but not the same.

No idea what the hell they were doing with the weird void portal thing, it doesn't look even remotely IP style. It's like they just slapped a random unrelated sci-fi image in there with a filter. Also the Naaru is an absolutely mess and why would they bother concealing what is obviously a naaru with awkward and hard to read visuals.

Also like... we already know K'aresh doesn't look like that. It's a jagged shard-looking mess not a mostly whole and nicely round planety planet.

the new questline is awful. it's the epitome of everything that is wrong with blizzard's writing

Did the Arathi Highlands questline. I have to say that I enjoyed immensely questing in the Old World again. I liked the questline. ''Human'' stories and conflicts are always the best, unlike the never ending new world-ending threat. Some VERY interesting details:

    - Seems impossible that they did this questline without having Midnight in mind. Certainly opens up the possibility of more zones than Quel'thalas being revamped.

    - Was Stormgarde always so full of NPCs? Or it received the Gilneas treatment with this patch? It certainly feels like a proper hub.

    - The Syndicate are the remnants of the Alterac kingdom. Those brothers we save? I bet that we'll se them again. Are their brown capes new? Certainly seems that Blizzard is trying to make the Alteracy their own thing giving them a different look.

    - I didn't realise that the Whitebark Trolls were Amani trolls ¡¡ Curious thing happened. I entered the Whitebark Cave, but for some reason I could not explore it. An invisible wall won't let me. Future delve incoming?

11.1.7 has a questline specifically about her backstory.

Once again it comes down to roleplayers to salvage the dubious writing and embrace the nuance that should be at the forefront.

Yet another character lacking a voice for the entirety of the new quests is immersion breaking, too.
People here still think, its about some skin color or some other bs argument they like to throw around. It literally had nothing to do with that. Period.

In reality, the actual problem is that she simply is a boring and uninteresting character. Who had pretty much zero depth and only talks about cooking and weird table games. The whole arathi, but also the newer danath story did nothing for her or even tried to make her somewhat interrsting.

    Its a failed character imo.
