I mean, I'd be fine with Dimensius being a main saga villain. However, I'd be just as fine if he wasn't.

She got angry when the Ethereals that she most likely knows are alligned with Dimensius got the dark heart.

We've already been told that the Xal'atath will herald Azshara and Xal'atath clearly not a fan of Dimensius since she was mad the ethereals got the dark heart. More than likely Xal'atath just pops in at the end of the raid gets the dark heart with dimensius in it and goes to Quel'thalas to trigger events for Midnight.

The burning crusade quest mob whose lore is just he wants to eat things should just be a loot pinata. Azshara will be far more interesting as an antagonist.

Azshara? Azshara is a small player compared to Xal'atath. Heck, Azshara was a pawn of N'zoth, some that Xal played like a fiddle.

That we're going to Karesh implies that is where the Ethereal took it & Xal'atath was not happy of that fact.

Perhaps there's something else going on, but if an Ethereal wanted to use it against Dimensius I don't think taking it directly to his house is a good idea.

Him not being mentioned for decades then being the primary villain of the sage three seasons in would be Jailer-level of writing. The only difference is Dimensus is a name from an obscure corner of the lore.

Not being the main villain doesn't mean he loses know. No. This is a Saga teling, we are just ending the first chapter and Dimensius winning gives the perfect opportunity for explain why the Titans come back.

It's entirely possible she thought the Ethereals were against Dimensius, and likely didn't consider the idea that some would be pro-Dimensius

It's a good way to "redeem" some Shadowlands elements. In one swoop, they just cleaned the "Brokers" as a new race and made them Ethereals.

Which makes rethink how much of the Shadowlands "lore" is actually true, just like the Titans "lore" is bunch of prespective lies.

I'm trying to think how Void touched Demon Hunters can actually be a thing. It's not an unknown practice - Teron Gorefiend (WoD version) and coincidentally another boss in Hellfire Citadeal were both Shadowfel users, as they called that school of magic.

But it requires a Fel entity capable of reaching into the Void.

That Demon Hunter has got to be an intentional hint. Wow. A Void-focused third spec would be super cool.

I'm not against the idea, but a Void specialization? For DH? I don't know, for me it's two completely different themes. Why not, it remains to be seen.

What if the DH stuff isn't just limited to DH but a hint that Midnight is bringing new specs to existing classes.

If that means no new class at midnight, I'll be sad, but at least it'll be a change.

A bit disappointed as I feel it's too soon for K'aresh and was hoping for Rootlands, but alright let's gooo!

Except it's not because Rootlands has been objectively and verifiably cut from TWW, so there's already changes and the story was cut short.

Do you think they start planning for what the next expansion is going to be when they start actively developing it?
