Yeah, Ashes and 11.0 will probably be out at the same time. WoW might be into 11.1 or .2 by then but Im pretty sure Ashes will be out within 2.5 years.

The fact the Mega-dungeon basically gave us a clear hint of the next expansion being a Legion 2.0 style cacophony of absolutely anime style events taking place I will not really be surprised if 10.2 is the end for this expansion at this point in time.

Disappointing? Yeah. I feel like the Development Team have been stacking victories and it would be best to not create the "2 Major Patches only" standard as a definitive standard going forward. But again we'll see when we finally get a glimpse of the Roadmap after 10.2's Launch.

Iridikron's problem is that unlike Zovaal who was surprised by the Prophecy. Iridikron knows that actual confrontation with us will lead to his demise which makes his character a very binary success/failure state of his character.

It is very likely that to make this null & void about his intelligence that he will just become a fat monstrous all consuming 2.0 version of Galakrond that will still fight us and die because of our "power".
I mean Lets assume 11.0 launches in October.

    10.2-Nov 20
    10.2.5-Feb 3rd
    10.2.7-April 15th
    10.2.9(fated DF season)-June 7th
    11.0-prepatch-September 28th
    11.0-October 25th

Even with only 2 major patches, they have managed to pack so much content into smaller ones the expansion will still have tons of content that way.

Doubtful on that last one though, I think the "X.3 standard" question will live or die when the Roadmap is revealed shortly after 10.2 is revealed.
I wouldn't mind a 10.3 but it would undoubtedly push 11.0 back into early 2025 which I dont see happening with the anniversary coming up.

I still think that Tyr may end up being some analog to Xal'atath and form a "Light/Order council" that goes against what we want to do. Maybe the Tyrhold beacon will be used as some kind of portal for Yrel? We still don't know exactly how it works but it got a lot of focus in early marketing.

Alex is definitely going to "betray" Tyr, and unless the twist is that she goes against us (doubtful) I think it's inevitable we will be in conflict with him. Unless we change his mind. But I don't know, this feels like a "never meet your heroes" kind of situation with Alex hyping up Tyr, while the sidequests like the Dragonscale Experiment Vault and now this story with Vyranoth are hinting that he's not actually someone we want to wake up.
Idk, Tyr is the one Titan keeper that seemed to be on our side. I could see Alex changing his mind eventually.

Maybe he is a boss but comes around and we dont have to kill him. I think it was be dumb to spend all this time bringing him back just to kill him right after.

Nzoth is in the blade and is stabbed into Azeroth injecting him into her.

The world is corrupted and the only bastion left on the entire planet is a small continent hidden on the other side of Azeroth, Avaloren.

We go there and set up a base.
Slowly over the patches we fight back against the void and heal the land with thrall, the titan keepers etc. As we take back the land it is revamped into HD versions of the zones. at the end the titans come back to purify Azeroths soul.

Idk something like that I could see happening.

They're avoiding old zones because... That's how the games's always been. They always avoid older zones.
Not including pre-expansion events, heritage quests, and minor holiday events:

We got a Karazhan raid in TBC, the Caverns of Time with Black Moras dungeon, Durnhold Keep dungeon, and the Mount Hyjal raid.
We got Stratholme dungeon in WOTLK, Siege of Undercity a huge event connected with the WOTLK storyline that made sense, and Onyxia raid.
We got the World Revamp in CATA, with Heroic Dungeons, etc.
We got the Theramore scenario in MOP, Silvershard Mines battleground, Scholomance dungeon, Scarlet Monastery dungeon, Scarlet Halls dungeon, Barren's staging area in 5.3, and Siege of Orgrimmar.

After MOP, things started to change:

We got nothing in WOD other than the Upper Blackrock dungeon.
We got Karazhan dungeon in LEGION, some artifact weapons quest chains with some minor changes on some zones, and the Paladin Class Halls in Eastern Kingdoms, and Blizzard was criticized back in the day about the Rogue Class Hall location, where they chose Dalaran Underbelly instead of Ravenholdt Manor.
We got three zones Revamps (four if we include Silithus) from Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms in BFA, and one in Pandaria, Seething Shore battleground (although it was added in the last patch of Legion the plot is from BFA), which makes BFA an outlier on this regard.
    We got nothing in SL.
And we got Uldaman dungeon in DF.

In Shadowlands, they even removed the new players from Cataclysm starting zones based on each playable race lore in favor of a more generic experience in Exile's Reach and made BFA the leveling path after that.

Things are getting worse instead of better, now they're going to put the World Tree meant to be Night Elves' home in a land on the other side of the planet...

After 2 days i'm still disappointed by murozond's treatment. I just hope the dungeon's ending was bait and that nozdormu will eventually become murozond

I don't think Nozdormu needed to become Murozond for real, we could've fought him in an alternate timeline or another future version of him, but instead of a dungeon, like in Cataclysm, I was hoping to fight him in a raid.

I'm so sick of fighting nobodies in raids, the last boss that had any impact was N'zoth all the way back in BFA...

Yes, we had Sylvanas but that was more like a get-along event than an encounter, she didn't even get hurt, LMAO.

Highly disingenuous to pretend that Wrath having a dungeon in old world and a single quest event is somehow way better than current in this regard, especially when next month has Kalimdor Grand Prix. Also super slimy to try and paint BfA as somehow not counting because it's "tOtAlLy An OuTliER", and Legion as just "some artifact quest chains" when you're lauding a 15 minute single quest in Wrath as evidence that we used to go back to old locations.

Also, I've had the game at max settings, and yeah the trees do look that bad, you don't even need to go so close to the tree to see just how outdated it is.

The change in fog does help tho...
I mean cmon everyone knows those trees look terrible, ever flew above Ashenvale or better felwood? Settings doesnt matter for these classic areas.

Heck the combined time you spend in the old world during Legion just doing the artifact quests could be several hours.

Plus, we did get Azeroth stuff in Shadowlands. The Dark Ranger Questchain as well as the small quest about Lakeshire.

Honestly, I just wish the Murozond stuff was done away with, as well as the Infinite Dragonflight. Cool concepts in theory, but like every other time travel thing, makes no sense whatsoever when you think about it for more than 5 minutes.

Especially because they can't really figure out why Nozdormu even turned seeing how the original reason can't even happen.

What fucking lore that "quite literally exists in interviews and the game itself" says a titan world-soul can't be consumed?

Oh I had a similar idea for after Legion. We'd spend an expansion traveling the cosmos with our space ships, trying to arrive to Azeroth and then the expansion after that we'd arrive at Azeroth conquered by N'zoth and Azshara with much of Azeroth beneath the waves (we'd start at K'aresh and in the expansion patches we'd make a stop at the remnants of Nathreza and Nihilam before arriving at Azeroth. On first expac we'd beat back Azshara who had used the Tidestone to make the waters surge (with the Horde having been forced to work with the Alliance to survive in the pieces of land left) and the second expac would be Black Empire.

As to Kalimdor and EK being old, it doesn't matter. They are the base continents for WoW. Everything else is part of expansion sets, you just go there and leave once that is all done.

Not a bug, just a photoshop. Kalimdor was unavailable for a few hours on EU servers yesterday before they took them down, but there is no world map texture without Kalimdor on it.

It's kinda depressing, to be completely honest.
This has always been the thing. Aside from rare exceptions like Karazhan, current content always happen in current expansion zones.

Most of the Blue Dragonflight questline added, which was quite extensive, was spread all over the world. Dragonflight also had heritage questlines and will add the dragonriding cups in every other continent.
While the main storyline usually will be in the current continent there are plenty of exceptions (Karazhan as noted, IQD in TBC, 5.3 in MoP, 8.3 in BfA). So I don't think I'd call it rare. If you add all the side stories, questing in zones outside the current continent is at worst uncommon but certainly not rare.
