Dimensius's character design looks pretty lame ngl.

Also, kind of hilarious how the VLs were hyped up as the new big boss villains in their introduction in Chronicle, and now, the first time the players meet one (not counting TBC for obvious reasons), he pretty much just seems to be a stepping stone lel

Naaru tech, but built by the Blood Elves in the Netherstorm.

Maybe just a generic name sort of situation, or the Ethereals gave them schematics and they just used the materials on hand.

They were built by Kael'thas's Blood Elves using parts salvaged from Tempest Keep. So yeah. But TBC lore is a bit fuzzy and Kael'thas did have help from the ethereals as well, smuggling mana cells to Isle of Quel'Danas among other things. No reason why the etherals wouldn't have the tech.

He looks no different to how a Titan looks compared to the Keepers and Titanforged, how Sargeras looks compared to his Legion, or how Zovaal looks compared to his Mawsworn.

They're just bigger, better versions of their forces. The head honchos.

So Xal will suck Dimensius into the Heart and take it to Azeroth, bets on that?

Didn't we get one PTR or maybe even an Alpha were they basically said "ok, servers wont be ready but you can start datamining now"? I think it was quite recently iirc.

We're still getting "raid themed" armor sets, it's just part of the questing gear now. I think it's a much better choice to have raid/zone sets AND tier sets than one or the other.

Someone's crappy tier set is going to be seen as cool to someone else. Better to have more options than fewer.

They didn't quite say that, but did push the client before the servers were stable enough, yeah.

I wonder if Xal works with us for whatever reason. I don't think the devs have mentioned her at all this patch. Maybe she just hides until we kill Dimensius?

I look really forward to the Evoker set still though. You never know when we get another amazing set. Or for that matter, the outdoor set presumably themed after the Ethereals themselves. I bet that one will look incredible.
I wish they would take a more creative approach to tier sets finally. They have been following the same safe formula for way too long imo. Where are the floating back pieces? Why are wing like structures always attached on the shoulders and not chest/back like with voidelfes so they don't wobble around like jelly? Why don't we have anything other than wing like structures? Pew pew rockets for warriors? Floating ghost daggers? So many possibilities yet we only ever get the same kind of sets over and over again.

Looking forward to the outdoor sets though. Non tier sets and (raid)weapons are the highlight this expansion.

To be fair it looks like we interrupt dimensius "rebirth" or entering fully into reality. But its also not uncommon for a hyped up enemy to be dealt with very quickly once we set foot on his doorstep.

It was rather predictable, I think Marlamin had already said that the models weren't playable. I don't know why everyone gets so excited every time, Blizzard has been refusing to give us popular races for years. They'll give us random races no one cares about like Earthens.

As for the Haronir, maybe we'll have to wait for TLT? I don't think we'll have any new allied races for a while.

I think most of their designs were pretty bland. There were a few that were okay like BoD mythic plate, Nathria plate and SoD cloth. But most of them felt like they were held too tightly to the raid theme and just lacked creativity or excitement.

It's more because they added female models and changed their model to better fit armor pieces (albeit not player armor at this time), two things that they have done in the past when they are making a previously NPC race playable (such as Worgen, and then Kul Tirans during development)

You can now essentially have a fully "naked" Ethereal fully wrapped up, whereas the old Ethereal models were loose fitting bandages and more "unorganized".

Could be she takes advantage of the situation and uses the black blood on Azeroth while everyone is distracted. But I would think she still needs the Dark Heart for her plans.

You can say the same for various modular models they've built like this including e.g. dreadlords from Shadowlands. Even though they have many parts/geosets, they're still built like NPC models.

But a female model means nothing.

They've added female models to the kobolds, and yet nobody I know of has jumped on them to say they'd be playable.

Nude models mean nothing either, when you're just a fart wrapped in bandages.

It's moreso this time because they are now incredibly humanoid and look fairly simple to assign armor to vs Kobolds, Dreadlords, Kyrian, etc. If they truly aren't making them playable I have no idea why, considering it's so highly requested.

    Blizzard classic.

There's still a lot of speculation surrounding Orweyna and the Harronir, but its important to remember that The War Within is just the start of the World Soul Saga trilogy, so there's still a lot of time and opportunity to link stories together. Ghosts of Ka'resh is the last major update for The War Within, though there is further content coming, and a lot more story to tell.

    Lol, yep.

I'm really not surprised considering the first thing they show is the sword, and then they said it won't appear until TLT...
