I think she has to. She was rezzed by one of the few remaining Naaru (from Netherlight Temple) for a mystery future purpose, and her kingdom is on the outskirts of Quel'thalas.

Spoilers for the end which have some pretty heavy implications: Soul-Scribe MIGHT live after her fight, with Ve'nari convincing her to make her oath to K'aresh instead. Unsure if she just doesn't have a dying animation and Ve'nari isn't talking to her. EDIT: Looks like she is indeed reduced to 1%

If she's alive, the best chance of playable Ethereals are her Wastelanders

Also the part with all the vegetation in space is NOT part of the dungeon, you can't access it... yet

Looks like the main reason this all takes place AFTER the raid is mostly because the story needs Saladhaar to be dead which is something that happens in the raid, freeing the Wastelanders from his ancient oath

I definitely think that the waste landers are our path forward for playable k'areshi though I think they might get new bodies or something, I also think soul scribe is probably going to sacrifice herself to save her daughter somehow, there's some talk about how when etherals gets unraveled they go into the phase diving realm so presumably we can save the random collection of named and voice acted wastelanders who we worked with for like 5 quest and then they abandoned us for their paths and we "killed" them
