Midnight 12.X Patches & World Soul Saga Speculation Thread

Honestly my take is that we lose in Midnight and Azeroth gets corrupted with void, forcing Titans to purge and we probably get help from Illidan and Sargeras who sacrifice themselves, and Titans leave us to care for Azeroth. I'm sure it'll be a lot more going on but that's my take for an end anyway.

I'm more curious what everyone thinks for next saga? I'm debating whether we'll have a Holy War saga with Arathi-Yrel invading Azeroth or if we end up going to the other side of Azeroth first.

I could definitely see us losing the second xpac, yeah. It'd be our Empire Strikes Back moment. Then we're in a situation where the Titans either destroy all life on Azeroth of the Void corrupts all life on Azeroth. How will our heroes get out of this one...!?
I think we could see Iridikron make a sacrifice, actually. He's bad, but he does care about the world, sort of.
I'm expecting Sargeras to survive, him being the 'Last Titan'. But he decides that Azeroth isn't the threat he thought it would be, and so instead he goes to get the Burning Legion back together to track down the Progenitors who ordained the universe's design and take them to task for its failures. Maybe Illidan even goes with him, finally serving Sargeras just like he was intended to, but to keep Azeroth safe this time.

For next saga? 'The Arathi Empire Saga'.
The Arathi Empire helped us save the world in Midnight. Now they want to rule it.
Part I - Empire invades Eastern Kingdoms. We get a Lordaeron revamp.
Part II - We strike back at the Empire. We find Avaloren and explore half of it.
Part III - The other half of Avaloren, where we find out just what the hell is wrong with the Empire.

I was trying to reply to Worldshapers predicted itinerary but apparently they got obliterated from the site entirely. Since reddit was talking about season 4 again, I did some roadmap theorycrafting. Everyone is saying TWW won't have a season 4: I don't see how that's possible with the current timeline.

• Legion Remix won't run past 12.0, and will probably end with the release of 12.0
• MOP Remix lasted slightly more than 3 months; Legion Remix will probably be longer
• Legion Remix is coming before the end of the year, possibly with the Housing patch; but after the 21st Anniversary event at the earliest: Not including the 20th, anniversaries usually end with November.

So by the most conservative estimate:

• Second Week August: 11.2 - Season 3
• Mid October: 11.2.5
• Early December 11.2.7: Legion Remix
• Early January: Midnight Beta
• Late February or Early March: 12.0
• April: Midnight Release

So....are the No-Season-4 people suggesting TWW season 3 is going to last 7 months? If Dragonflight is our basis for comparison, the Seasons got shorter as time went on, so just like last expansion, seasons 3 and 4 are going to be shorter than seasons 1 and 2. (DFS3 was 5 and a half months. DFS4 was 3 months.) TWW season 4 will likely start at the same time as Legion Remix.

There is still a chance that there is only 3 TWW seasons if they announce the Midnight no-nda alpha immediately or soon after gamescom. At that point they really are rushing it. The War Within's alpha didn't start until several months after 10.2

To possess this ancient knowledge you have to just add 8 weeks between patches and 5 weeks for pre-patch.

12th August - 10.2
7th October - 11.2.5 (anniversary, likely this teased "spooky game mode")
2nd December - 11.2.7 (Legion Remix)
27th January - 12.0 (housing, 3 weeks later pre-expansion event)
3rd March - MD launch (main date, not early access)

Of course all are pretty close, but still estimations - we already see that 5th August is more likely 10.2 date for several reasons. So it's +-1/2 for every date, of course assuming they won't fuck up this schedule like they did with Legion patch system during BfA.

Also, since we have no X.2.6 this time, last season have obviously standard 5.5 month length. Even barebones S4 is kinda pointless, but I hope during pre-patch all TWW dungeons will get M0 version, so people could complete achievs and stuff like that.

Do accounts and all posts just disappear like that when they are deleted? I know that posts and threads remain when an account is suspended/banned. And I'm fairly certain I've seen some ancient 2013ish posts which say "user deleted" in the account info but I can still see the post/s.

In short: I have no idea. Doesn't look like a normal deleted account based on past experiences with old threads. Must have been admin/mod work to delete it that hard?

I think I'd be disappointed if we got a fated season unless it is super small (like 10 weeks). I hope we get beta soon after the reveal.

They should atleast make a post about the exterior decor/customization before the event and have a full presentation during Gamescom and give us a date for when it will be avaliable later this year. I feel like its one of the biggest features coming to the game ever and yet the info we know isn't a whole lot right now.

Why ? Even if Midnight is revealed in August, Housing won't be released before this winter so they still have plenty of time. They'll release infos when they'll need to hype people.

Seems pretty likely yeah. Maybe give or take a week here or there, assuming there is no S4 (I do assume there won't be). The only thing I think that is slightly off is that housing will probably be a bit earlier and released at some point during 2025 and not tied to the 12.0 patch. I base this sorely on the projections of an idle mind and that I vaguely remember it being listed on the roadmap.

Just had my brain melt from a theory regarding Sylvanas and Midnight.
On the PTR Ve'nari mentions the one thing that the Void fears because she have been in the Maw before (its Undeath that the Void fears) and this basically (kind of?) sets up Sylvanas' return and aid in Midnight to [I]banish the Shadow forever[/I] (Metzen's words). I just really hope this will be done in a good way and that she wont solo the entire force of the Void or Xal'atath just like how she solo'd Bolvar.

Regarding how it will be done maybe: With "reuniting the elven tribes of Azeroth" theme in Midnight, do you think that she will bring an army of elven souls (all gathered from the Maw that were sent there before) againts the Void? My head is imagining a scene similar to Aragorn leading the ghost army againts the forces of Sauron lol, basically washing over the enemy lines.

Really curious what people think how this will be done and if it can be even done in a remotely good way that feels satisfying and not just another facepalm moment.

I think Anasterian was inside the Jailer's Vault where we found Arthas' soul and the souls that had been cleaved by Frostmourne. It would be properly epic if Sylvanas came together with Kael'thas and Anasterian in a march of ghosts protecting Silvermoon.

Imo 11.2 goes live the same day turbulent timeways ends, so 5th/6th, after that it's probably what you mentioned. I do hope Legion Remix launches early December though, so I can enjoy it before I go back home for the holidays lol

When the Titans do show up, I think it's going to become pretty clear that they won't have the best interests of Azeroth's inhabitants in-mind. It's gonna be Re-Origination time for sure.

Which means we're going to have to help Iridikron stop them.

i mean after the description of midnight at blizzcon i am convinced we lose
not how we normally lose via winning the battle but the enemy kinda reaches their goal
we lose the battle and the war

the titans come by
the keepers get exposed as bad but only because odyn did something bad or a random reason that keeps them from being terrible and we find that azeroth is the prime titan and a first one

i think prepatch might be later simply because of the housing stuff so likely s4 in 11.2.7
which would put may/june for prepatch and august for launch
then use blizzcon to hype up 12.1

Except he didn't. He explicitly uses the Void as a bait to get the Titans to Azeroth.

That wasn't his goal. He just wants revenge. Ergo he was fine with Fyrakk's plan which would have killed all life on the planet besides fire elementals.
Dimensius, Sargeras, Zovaal, they're all just analogs for satan. The problem is they're trying to introduce a big bad that the audience actually resonates with like Sargeras. Zovaal probably would have survived in some way if people actually thought he was cool.

Except Iridikron still has the same agenda that he had this entire time: He wants to free Azeroth of the Titans grasp.
He consistently refers to it as "our world", which wouldn't really make sense if he didn't care about it.

Iridikron being our Illidan-esque ally is my theory for TLT and I will stand by it. I just don't really see any way how ours and Iridikrons interest don't align.
