But it's not just the earthen, we've also been subjected to brann for three seasons which at least for me has been pushing the limit of "bad dwarf accent" I can handle
I do agree about the ringing deeps, but the dwarves do show up a lot on the TWW campaign as well a pretty significant amount, not to mention a large chunk of wq are given by dwarves so players who don't disable the talking heads would have been interacting with them a lot
It'd also be sad to take away from the amani to shove random dwarves in there, it's not like we're gonna another good chance to focus on the amani probably.
Like idk people complain about the writing of this game and then are like "I hope they shove random crap that makes no sense into the narrative" like moving a zone from the twilight Highlands to quel'thalas half a continent away so we can have dwarves in the elf expansion when there's already plenty of non elves that are thematically tied to the expansion
Like naga and satyrs and trolls and even the harronir or the Arathi, or hell as much as I'd dislike it having the undead still being a threat makes more sense as it directly ties into the history of quelthalas
And that's not even getting started on the k'areshi who are space elves (just like belfs were in TBC) who are depicted as having very similar inspirations (Arabian) for their architecture as blood elves as well as both blood elves and k'areshi having lots of Arabic influence in the naming schemes for the characters
With some mysterious set up for the wastelanders of a faction that clearly isn't paid off yet if you've actually played the ptr quest
If we're getting any run back of races between midnight and TWW it should be Etherals they have tons of parallels with both blood and void elves, and are also a fractured civilization that could very well start working on reunification in the 11.2 or 11.2.5 quest we haven't seen yet to continue those parallels

I don't think the Wildhammer will be a big part of Midnight if at all, otherwise those mounts would be a renown reward. And yes, Dwarf fatigue. Hell they have even banned Bob, Thalyssra, and Vereesa (and ALL trolls) from this expansion so we don't get sick of them in Midnight, no way will they spam more dwarves.
However the gryphons without armor will most likely appear in some way. I also expect the Forsaken horses, maybe just the skeletons within in the plague of the new model.

I found a couple of Goblin NPCs on PTR (at the Delvers' Headquarters) that seem to be for a new system in Delves that hasn't been announced or talked about so far.
They both have the label "<Memories-R-Us>"- one is a vendor whose items haven't been implemented yet (it's just a bunch of question mark icons with no name or text). The other talks about their invention:
Not sure exactly what this could be yet- if it's just crystals that play iconic voicelines as a face-value interpretation suggests, why restrict it to Delves? So could we be getting a way to summon iconic allies, or use their powers, during Delves? Or summon special mobs to fight?Do you know that with a beefy enough hydraulic press and a little help from our patent pending stabilization process, you can compress all this worldsoul nonsense into a nice, compact, and most importantly, marketable crystal that's got a fragment of somethin' important in it?
Mostly just quotes from big wigs, it turns out, but who doesn't want to have the Lich King on something that could reasonably be adjacent to speed dial?
They also only work in Delves for some reason, which is why we set up shop here.

Nothing to comment on the delves memory thing, it sounds very cool. But I just realized that the Gleeful Glamour: Ethereal is unlocked from the Manaforge Vandals at Renown 8. That means it should be out 9 weeks after 11.2- possibly as soon as 11.2.5 drops.
Why do I think that's interesting? Because I think that they will add more animations to Ethereals in that patch, which points to them being a post-patch player race reveal. Either they are unlocked at that point or they will be a pre-unlock preview.
Consider that they will need full player animations to be a proper glamour, and be able to wear armor. Maybe they are the Midnight prepurchase reward?

Thinking ahead, I still wonder why next Blizzcon is in September, it's really weird spot (not to mention proximity to Gamescom). We will be around early S2, so even 12.2 reveal will be for something that is months away, definitely any Last Titan talk will be awkward. Diablo 4 expac will be known or even out at this point. So they either have new game or whole thing hangs on Classic+.
Lord, the trilogy reveal really killed the whole leak season.
I'm happy to know where we're going next, but it was exciting to try and guess what was coming next... It was a bit like Christmas presents. We didn't know what we were going to get, and that was the fun of it. Now, it's like being told in advance what's going to be under the tree...

That's just one more thing in the list of stuff that TWW introduced and hasn't brought any closure to. I just hope with Chris saying they 'Don't mess around with WoW storytelling' (paraphrasing) that all these plot/story threads have a satisfying end by TLT's conclusion.

I am not convinced it did. It's different for sure. But even back then, it wasn't like everything was on the table. Usually there were two main theories, with maybe one or two fringe theories that nobody took seriously except as something to joke about.
As we see with Midnight, there is still plenty of discussion on stuff like what the expansion will actually look like. Where the first raid will be. What dungeons will show up. Main gameplay gimmick. Etc.
Remember that even Christmas presents are usually expected to be from a set list of possible items, alongside a few staple filler items like socks and balsamic vinegar.

I would say that the only thing it conclusively killed was the usual debate between two equally obvious options. Like how TWW was speculated to either be Khaz Algar or Avaloren.
The world revamp dream will never die!

I was referring to what @Eldryth found on the PTR, not any story element.
What would you think of an Azshara/Xal'atath couple..? They're both megalomaniacs, so why not ?
Speaking of which. Supposing you didn't know about Midnight and Quel'Thalas. What would you guess as the direction of the next expansion? What seems logical, based on K'aresh?

That's the problem. A sadistic megalomaniac needs a normie to torment.
