I will also guess that the Noggenfogger Up and Down potions in 11.1 point to them introducing a VERY miniscule height slider, as they gradually increase or shrink your model up to ten times.

Not teased at all but if they are doing pronouns they may as well let you swap voices with the other body type as well. Also, Arathi using Kul Tiran and Human models, with the Kul Tirans being shrunken down, makes me think they will add the option to swap between the models for the two races.
I hope if theyre adding model swapping we can get some more androgynous body types too or even just the ability to use fem body types but with a flat chest, especially for demon hunter so you could use the bare chest mogs with out the silly tit covers

Unfortunately I don't expect additional body type models because there are so many races. Humans and Kul Tirans would be the only ones IMO because both body types exist on Kul Tiras, and none of the Kul Tiran racials require the character to be a Half-Drust like the playable ones are.

They would have to do two more sets of voicelines for them, but eh.

I'm not counting new posture options for Forsaken, Blood Elves/Void Elves and Darkspear Trolls here. All three are very possible for Midnight.

What would "new posture options" for Blood Elves even mean

No leaning. I would prefer to stand up straight like most races.

yeah it just sucks that we cant get a slow roll out of new body types because theres a very vocal chunk of this community that would rather everyone get nothing than anyone get something before them

if they did human/night elf/thalassian elf/trolls you'd easily hit half the player base with 4 races and have clear ideas in place, twinkish mascelves and strong fem elves, the skinny kul tiran human model and the "muscular" troll body type

Yeah that's not going to happen. As much as I hate the male Blood Elf stance, they will not implement a stance that is marginally different from the baseline. I feel like the orc thing was the exception and I don't think it'll be the norm.

Hadn't considered the lack of customization updates in TWW. Shadowlands and DF had a few updates with them sprinkled in, although minor (aside from Manari which was minor in addition but large in impact).

This totally makes sense, I'd been on board with a character creation overhaul, but I'm a bit more convinced.

That said, it's still not a gameplay feature. Housing is a separate team, customization has the ability to be, but I feel there's gotta be one more. I'm partial to say Class Halls, but maybe something else.

I genuinely think we are getting a new artifact/heart of azeroth type mechanic.

Customisable trinket that sticks with you the whole expansion. Has three gem slots to customise what the spell does, what stat it buffs etc. and how the proc will look. You can make it passive or active. Don't think that's gonna be the "big" system like Delves/Hero Talents, but with the recent trends of Delve Belt/Sirens Isle Ring/Reshii Wraps, it just makes sense

Maybe a new class, but not a new gamemode (like Delves) and likely they aren't going to advertise talent rows again (very funny that they did so to begin with but TWW was technically feature light).

I could be completely wrong and they bring in a reworked Plunderstorm fulltime... which, actually now that I think about it, Xal is making a VOIDstorm, so.......................

I think my tinfoil, zero evidence and only heart hope that I'll cling to is a Spellbreaker class. I truly think we'll get a new class in Midnight.

Perhaps there's some sort of storm gamemode that utilizes Beledar's Shifting, the Siren Isle storm, Phase Diving and Plunderstorm mechanics. I think there's something similar to note between phase diving and the Unseeming, I wonder if there's any connection or any usage of it further on down the line.

I think this is a good bet, maybe we'll get blizzards take on the relic system from ff14

It'd be a nice way to bring back artifacts with out invalidating other weapon drops; every .5 patch adds a quest line for you to empower your artifact and bring it up to current gilded crafted ilvl so it's slightly better than maxed hero track and slightly worse than maxed myth track

Id also really like the ability to take old cantrip items and trinkets and Infuse their effect into your artifact relics you can slot in to get a version of the effect rescaled to your level

If they bring out artifacts it is either going to be Order Halls and Artifacts (Never gonna happen.)

    OR

Its gonna be the old Relic System from Classic. I think that system adds flavor. Bring back the little items for each class but make them work more like modern FOMO Rings/Capes. I think that would work well. Also allow them to target a specific item always for those kinds of things.

It is also entirely possible, and I really don't think people are prepared enough for this; Midnight has too much world content, like Cataclysm and other things suffer. Like Retail or not, you cannot deny that the last few years the patch cadence has really done a number on that 'Polish' they were known for. It is entirely feasible Midnight drops with a few zones revamped and they call it a day...not what I think is gonna happen though.

Really hoping we get a gameplay feature that actually makes the most of Quel’Thalas, now that we have it back.

I’ve always liked artifact systems. They’re fun to level up and customise. The lore that goes with them is just a nice bonus.

What if we got something like that again, but as a trinket? Some special Thalassian jewelry, kind of a nod to The Burning Crusade and Jewelcrafting. You’d power it up by doing all kinds of stuff: raids, delves, PvP, crafting, world quests, and events.

Trinkets don’t usually change your appearance, but that could change in Midnight. High Elves and vanity go hand in hand, after all. We already have visible jewelry, and they could easily let us unlock magical effects or visual auras based on how we upgrade it?

It also reduces the annoyance of having to farm two trinkets, which are, along with weapons, usually the strongest item you'll have. Plus, it doesn't really take away from anything, you still have all the gear slots etc.

The problem with the belt/the cloak/boots in 11.2 is that it invalidates a whole slot. That's why the ring was alright in 11.0.7

Maybe unlockable customizations for spell effects versus unlocked instantly?

Definitely. I feel like they way they handled the spells for the Belt might have been a bit of a hint.

A reminder that actually Shadowlands had a shitload of core race customizations and it was counted as a box feature. Im not sure what distinction you have with "game play features" because besides Covenants, I dont recall SL really having anything special.

Torghast was a brand new gameplay feature.
