With all the banter about Karesh I have another idea to rally against.

Thrall on the Blizzcon Poster. His home? Outland.
Ecodome Models. Where did we see em last? Outland.
Worst performing Classic Realms? Burning Crusade, home of Outland.
Dying for a remake but not nearly as difficult as the Classic Zones? Outland.

Just a pitch, but Iridikron made a dark bargain with a void being known as the harbinger. This being is ushering it's masters to us. We know from the Old God's they still have to travel through the nether.

So what if Iridikron teams up with the Harbinger to attempt to bring the void lords to Azeroth and in order to do that they do what the Burning Legion did, Invade through a world closer to their own to get to us sooner. They Invade Outland to make use of the Dark Portal.

Edit: Add to this. You could even have it be that they used the remnants of Karesh, a moonlike wasteland, to pull Outland to them so we have new zones to explore and places to see.

I am fairly amicable to the idea of returning to Outland. One idea I've been tossing around for a while is the notion that Outland and alternate Draenor could collapse into a kind of paradoxical smorgasbord as a consequence of some kind of temporal event.

This was found on the PTR. I'm currently of the camp that it's probably for a Mage Tower analogue for the new class sets.

I am fairly amicable to the idea of returning to Outland. One idea I've been tossing around in my head would be to have Outland and alternate Draenor merge after some kind of temporal collapse.

That's my concept for a Light Invasion. X'era finds a way to take advantage of the temporal connection between our universes to collapse AU Draenor and Outland. A'dal would be opposing her, Faralhon would be left behind so we'd get an updated version of Netherstorm while the rest will be WoD but progressed (supposedly a lot of the planet is in a lot worse condition).

I definitely think K’aresh could be an expansion zone if Blizzard wanted.
It could be similar to Outland (or a larger scale Argus) with us only going to the parts that remain, or just the important parts.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s revealed that Telogrus Rift was actually a fragment or piece of K’aresh. The lore of Telogrus would fit K’aresh’s destruction if Blizzard decided to go that route.
And also the connection that the (void) Ethereals have to it.

But nonetheless I’m still hoping that the Ethereals are playable whenever they’re brought back. They’re probably one of my favorite non-playable races atm.

It would work. I mean the natural end of this expac right now seems to be Iridikron luring the Pantheon to Azeroth. If the story continues, it should be titan themed.

Doesn't seem unlikely. The local rumored speaker of the storm suggested it, so it's nice to at least play along with the idea for fun.

I mean, the Pantheon is kinda busy keeping Sargeras in check.

Some really major shit has to go down on Azeroth for them to just leave their post and check up on us.

Na, 10.3 will be titan themed. DF isn't ending with the game of thrones duo, they're not end of expansion worthy characters.

Yeah, this is pretty interesting. I'm still a revamp skeptic to some extent, but the orc and now human heritage questlines both having detailed setups for future progression of their respective regions would be very strange to just drop or slot into something totally unrelated. Very curious to see if the undead and night elf heritage follows this same trend.

Don't forget that Danuser specifically namedropped the Reclamation of Gilneas as something they want to actively show players, as well as the SL Forsaken epilogue setting it up. So we now have:

-Horde Council (yet to truly appear in game)
-Forsaken reformation in SL (and also heritage quest?)
-Scarlet Crusade tease
-Gilneas reclamation
-Orc reformation and clan building
-Stormwind reformation
-subtle reformation of the Tauren in regards to centaur relations
-build up of Thaussarian Jr as a character/Dark Iron rebellion plotline
-Nelf reformation??? (heritage quest)

I can't see all of this really mattering that much to an expansion on the other side of Azeroth or another planet. There IS set up to "new areas" (pirates, Khaz Algar, Uldaz) but there is also a lot of stories that seem to matter in EK/Kalimdor more than usual.

Nozzy is their biggest tool. What better way to ensure your prize than to grant a dragon powers to reset every time something happens that could throw a wrench into your master plan.

This is why Murozond is still coming.

I'm still speculating that this true timeline the Titans are talking about is well its inevitable for them to get the World Soul/Azeroth and not necessarily an all around good(If thats the route we're going) for us and the World Soul itself although I don't get why they'd damn the Titans at this point minus Azeroth herself but yeah) even if it costs them one of their allies(Nozdormu somehow being Murozond is a possible acceptable loss in their eyes).

But I'm speculating so that could be all wrong.

I mean sure, if Xal actually succeeds in corrupting Azeroth they won't much choice but to respond and come down.
Provided they get the message.

but whether Blizzard actually commits to that is a different question.

It would be interesting to see Sargeras' response to that scenario.
Would he go rogue? Would he become a reluctant ally and help us cleanse the World Soul? Is he gonna try to destroy the planet again?

We know he wanted to corrupt her himself and force her into his Dark Pantheon, but that plan is pretty much dead.
