That's why it's hard to believe it's not coming. It's such a no brainer. Gleeful Glamour as a hint, which as @Cheezits pointed out is unlocked at Renown 8 with Manaforge Vandals, lining up with the release of 11.2.5.

I think the audio logs do some revealing on a playable Ethereal group, which we then unlock following a quest series epilogue for K'aresh with them playable in 11.2.5.

Would also be really cool to roll an Ethereal for Legion Remix. Some interesting lore interpretations there with the Infinte Dragonflight bringing us through.

Subject to change until the Gamescom reveal on August 19th.
People are fantasming too much about Northeron if you want my opinion. This shit was destroyed during the Cataclysm and is barely referenced by a mount about dwarves.

Also, some of that stuff makes no sense at all. FPS mode ? Is it supposed to be the Darkshire teased game mode ?

Voice acted quests is already in game and they won't invest more money into that.

Emote wheel when there's macros and /emote is unlikely as they're busy revamping core elements of the interface so they can get rid of addons.

Weapon talent tree ? This seems so random, just why ? If they need a big core feature in order to add talents they can just add azerite essences or use whatever system they've built for MoP Remix.

There's one thing high here and it's clearly not elves.

You don't really need lore interpretation for remix. I mean, we had allied races and dracthyr in MoP and this made absolutely no sense at all.

Well, I was more speaking from a personal/roleplay standpoint. The lore being that the Infinite is bringing us back to relive the events and see what we can learn. I just think it'd shine a fun light on Eredath specifically and the Shadowguard's involvement there.

Item appearance restrictions on Ethereals would be so weird.

Mechagnomes and Dracthyr have at least a visual justification for it.
Hard to the texture of a pair of pants around a mechanical leg or gloves around a set of twizzers.
Can't put a cape around a set of wings, etc.

But Ethereals are fully humanoid and already wear full sets of armor, even if its custom made.

I hope you're right, damn it. Just don't let Blizzard ruin this race by giving it the dracthyr treatment.

Yes, this doesn't make sense to you because these are my personal desires. And no, I'm talking about a real FPS mode with animations and everything, like TESO. Just immersion.

No, we're not talking about the same thing. I'm talking about something similar to TESO, once again. As for the "money" Blizzard invests, you have absolutely no idea, just like me. It's annoying when people say random things as if they work at Blizzard.

What the fuck does this have to do with addons??? How does even a wheel like the ping one but for emotes impact anything???

Dracs don't have a GG because of the armor restriction. I think for that reason, if Ethereals have it, it implies armor.

Also- consider their new tightly-wrapped models. So armor can sit on it. Armor can't sit on them NOW, but the GG debuts in the next patch, which could be enough time for them to have figured out how to update the model.

I never doubted the Northeron idea, but if this is the extent of it... yeah. If it exists, it will be a chunk connected to the Amani area, IMO. Probably not it's own zone.

The Forest Troll and Thalassian relationship will be key to this expac, but they surely will touch on the Wildhammer and Forest Troll beef (or alliance, if the Witherbark are still cool) a bit. Maybe he'll be the token Alliance character in the theorized Amani area while the Horde gets Rokhan, Zappyboi, Talanji, etc.

But is it actually on the PTR and testable or is it just datamined somewhere?

I mean, fucking hell SWTOR has voice acted BRANCHING DIALOGUES for the player character.
And by pretty well known VAs too. Compared to that WoW having voice acting is like in that meme?
We have voice acting at home.
And this is finally something that FFXIV doesn't do better, because they actually have even less voice acting for the main character to the point where it is a meme in universe.

Lots of talk about the Glamour. Not alot of talk about the August Rewards for the Trading Post?

No one else finds it curious that the entirety of the Kirin Tor, the seat of the mages of Azeroth is gone?

Khadgar is crippled and the city he ruled is destroyed?

All this while the Echo of Medivh, last seen in Legion is missing was last known to tell Khadgar (and us) that he was facing a greater challenge than the Legion?

And now we have a Karazhan Chess Surf Board?

If I was a betting man racist chef for a popular food network I would say Medivh is probably gonna show up.

It has been datamined, but not available as of yet. With the unlock coming in week 8 of the Renown, aka 11.2.5, I assume it'll be available there, which lends us to think that we'll find out about playable Ethereals sooner than that.

I hadn't really connected the Trading Post to Karazhan too much, but it's possible. The Trading post gear is kinda boring to me personally.

The black/red/purple set references Medivh a lot, while the Gold/White set seems to just be puns or oneliners. That said, I'm fully bought in on Medivh returning.

There were humans around there, so it's further north, towards Lordaeron. We don't actually know exactly where it was, so it could be a known or unknown area. I'm personally betting on an unknown area, for all the story and visual potential. If Midnight takes place exclusively in Quel'thalas, this zone would bring some variety.

I'm not saying it's going to happen, because honestly I doubt it more and more, but who knows? There have been leaks and mounts that named Northeron, so maybe. Maybe the truth lies somewhere in between. We will know in 3 weeks!

Let's be real 5 seconds. If Blizzard wanted to voice more quests or quest logs, they would have done it since Wrath when they started to voice random NPC's voicelines (vrykul yelling at you here). It is too much money they don't need to invest here.

You're answering your own question. Blizzard is revamping stuff related to addons (CD manager, rotation helper) and who are either linked to popular addons / gameplay. I have high doubts that an emote wheel would be of any use when you can just macro your emotes.

Because it was a mistake back in Legion and they want to focus on evergreen features. Following the evergreen logic, we're unlikely to have extended talent trees because of how the system will be bloated in 3 expansions like it did with MoP.

An expansion of hero talent is possible but we follow the same logic here so the most likely guess would be a new hero talent tree for everyone because hero talents focuses on smaller parts of the class and are easier build than a new spec or 10 new talents for all the existing hero talents.

But again if I had to give my own opinion, I would rather bet on something similar to the azerite trait with some old spells like the Shadowlands covenant abilities (Door of Shadow, Fae form) instead of weapon talent trees.

Yeah, that's it. Damn, it's coming back to me. What's between Tirisfal and Ghostlands in the game? Eastweald. It doesn't really match the description given, so for me there must be a mountainous and icy area around there.

I'm of the same opinions as others, I think any potential "Northeron" zone (as mentioned in the Wildhammer dwarf mount) will be absorbed into a greater Amani zone on the east coast of EK. I think if that's the case they'll be absorbing parts of the Hinterlands and Twilight Highlands into a larger coastal zone. Think a far darker, spookier version of Azure Span. Dense thickets of PNW style rainforest, mired in layers of fog, that thin out the further up the mountains you go, with the Wildhammer Clan living at the peaks soaring on their gryphons.

There is a mountain range between Ghostlands and Eastern Plaugelands in-game, it could just be that, with the old world scaling (and loading screen) making it much smaller than it would actually be in lore. That'd mean that they were just trapped in the Thalassian Pass (where the loading screen currently is in-game).

They expressed during DF that they knew that text blocks were not ideal. I would add that Blizzard's plans change all the time, especially since the disaster of the expansion that must not be named.

Uh no, that still doesn't make any sense sorry. By your own logic, since you can macro pings, there's no point in having a wheel like there is now.

Not answering any questions or saying too much in order to not jeopardize the identity or position of myself or anyone else.

Tinker will not be coming in Midnight, it’s already slated for TLT.

-It will have a tank spec that uses a mech suit.
-It will not operate like metamorphosis, think Druid Forms instead.
-It will be customizable in workshops (barbershops for tinker specific things).
-It has more than one transparent cockpit option, so you are able to see your character and transmog while in mech if you prefer.
-There is a defensive CD similar to DH’s Rain from Above which sees you fly out of melee range and slowly descend to avoid physical damage for a short time. You maintain aggro and are limited to your ranged abilities during this time.

That's what I'm saying. Currently in the game there are only generic mountains that act as separation for the zones, it's not a zone as such. And you say it yourself, this famous zone could be located there. That's what I imagined, that it would serve as a separation between Quel'thalas and Lordaeron.
