My copium is that it'll suggest Ethereals are at some point gonna be playable. My realistic suggestion is that it'll just be more of the same. Wanna know who Lora is though.

I wonder if we will get 11.2.5 reveal between next week and Gamescom. If not, I'd say chances for Ethereals and/or DH stuff are higher, cause it gives opportunity for them to say "also, these stuff are for next patch actually, check out PTR".

I find it curious that next week we won't get the epilogue of this patch, only chapters 1-3 and the following week - Aug 12th we get chapter 4 and epilogue, then 1 week later we get Midnight. They planned this perfectly. I do wonder when they'll announce 11.2.5.

I mean, that's every patch though, we usually dont get the Epilogue until after the raid is out. They probably just released the patch at the latest possible date for the season to be out at gamescom.

They didn't planned it (to be specific, of course they bend 11.2 schedule to land before Gamescom when it was certain both will be close to each other), if things are completely in their control they let current content breathe before they announce next one (like 9.2 -> DF reveal). But it's nice for us of course, even if it's rare thing.

They are pretty close, most of the tech to support this is in place and newer Classic clients are closer to Mainline code-wise than any Classic clients before them, so it is only a matter of time/a bit of effort to get it across the finish. The 12.0 client should shed some light on whether or not they're going that way as that is the next major update, but I think they'll probably be able to do so by 12.x or 13.0 if they actually want to.

So a new interview confirmed the epilogue is from the dungeon, and doesn't unlock until you beat the raid. So we will know everything on the 12th.

Wowhead confirmed it, and you needed a Gally kill for the Undermine epilogue. By beat I just mean a Dinensius kill.

Story mode unlocks on the 19th, ironically I'm not sure if that's before or after Midnight reveal.

It's pretty crazy we spent the entire Dragonflight expansion reforming Tyr's Guard and reconstituting Tyr himself and then all that happened is he gave us some white dragonriding skins and was never heard from again. Given some anticlimactic that plot thread was, I figured they'd have expanded on it by now...

Since we have Silvermoon same patch, imo best you can hope is heavily urbanized zone like Revendreth. Not to mention if Amani are theme of first raid (imo it's strongest candidate, void Sunwell and Manaforge sounds too similar for back-to-back tiers), city could be used for raid too.

Unfortunately, we'll never have quality cinematics like before Shadowlands again. The teams aren't the same anymore, and I think I read that the budget has been significantly reduced, but I might be making up some bullshit on that one. Gone are the days of epic cinematics that sweat testosterone with muscular, oiled-up guys fighting. Make way for sentimentality and tears. I would be surprised if Alleria doesn't show up to cry and show how much she doubts herself but has to protect her family.

So we're okay with the sentimentality and tears when it's Saurfang? Or do you also deride those? Consistency is important
