I don't know, we don't know and we will probably never know. If we're lucky they don't make the Zovaal mistake but I'm unsure at this point.

Without the knowledge around her origin point it just becomes quite hard to ascertain anything involving her character. In many ways she could just randomly die during the last two expansions even though her power gain at this point is quite absurd for such a character moment at this point in time.
I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.

    Imagine this dot is Azeroth:

    .

    Now imagine this is Xal'atath:

    <

Now, this is what Xal'atath intends to do for Azeroth in a step by step process:

    .

    <.

    _

The "<²" means Xal got a boost

Access the Zereths maybe? If she's shafting her boss that might be her ultimate goal, to be bigger than the Void Lords.

Lets hope not. That shit is so boring.

Zereth Mortis hit that aspect for me.
It's like the super bright serene place after the super dark shit. Design, sounds, music all brought that vibe.

Just like the white area with colored tiles Squidward goes to after all the other depressing shit.

Her own words "only the strongest survive". Right now that is (once he's released, reformed or whatever) Dimensius. She wants to usurp Dimensius as the All-Devouring to secure her position as the "strongest" and thus her survival. She also already said during the Karesh campaign that Dimensius' next goal would be Azeroth, overtly to egg on Alleria to cooperate against Dimensius, but it's clear she either sees potential to further her power in Azeroth's corruption or just danger to her position at the top if left alone.

So yeah it's kind of just "lust for power", because she's convinced that's what it takes to survive this cosmos and the inevitability of the void.

So you are saying power is not the goal but a means to an end. Survival is the goal. Survival of...something. Kinda wild imagining Void lords also need to surviva something. In the void.

Xal'athat last words: "A Void Plane divided will not survive... What is to come".

Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.

I understood the implication that what they're in large part surviving each other.

I see it somewhat analogous to Black Holes, which can "consume" each other and become bigger (although technically they merge, not really one "eating" the other. But the competitive angle comes naturally with the anthropomorphisation)

the truth of the void is only the strong survive. She is essentially SL sylvanas all over again not wanting to serve under anyone but will be essentially just gathering power to get to the top.

I mean, realistically, what "grand plan" can there even be other than "Getting to the top" or "redesigning the order of things to protect something from injustice/greater evil"?

I haven't fully dived into the Murmuration paradox but man I feel like Blizzard is setting up so much lore for the future, and the cosmic scale of it is gonna be interesting to say the least.

Idk about the Zereths tbh. That kinda requires breaking the rules.

lol no, they did it for performance, not to arbitrarily make the brand new patch zone feel dead for *vibes*
Ambience is important to game design and feel. I remember Undermine was absolutely packed when that came out, and so was the Isle of Dorne on day 1. Lots of players would be bad on k'aresh, the mob destiny is pretty low (because of the 'vibes' they were going for through the level design) and the world is best presented as desolate.

Willing to bet they haven't even encrypted it just like the other dialog that was found a while back. Just a matter of time before it was found, surprised it took this long.

If I were a competent writer.... I would think this is forshadowing Xal'atath's plan. Not using the worldsoul for power, but becoming one with it: Not just a worldsoul, but the Prime Worldsoul. Maybe Xal'atath thinks she can overpower Azeroth's will.

Though I personally prefer my pre-dimensius theory where Xal was the corrupted part of azeroth that the Titans filtered out.

Becoming a Void Lord to become a Worldsoul? What?

Ny'alotha couldve been done so, so much better. I think i said this before, Hakkars SL boss room is so fitting for how it was described previously.

Upside down buildings and trees. Stairs going in all sorts of weird, normally impossible angles. Dark fog pretty much everywhere.

Instead, they made it a lamer, grey-purple version of Ahn'qiraj
