Annnnnd we're back to the "my opinion is fact" portion of our standard programming. Wonderful.

I love my beastly races. I love my pretty races. I most want Ethereals, which kind of ride the middle. I also really want Amani which are definitely more ugly. Playerbase skews towards elves and humans, transmog most likely has a lot to do with that. I'd rather they fix the way armor works on other races before just giving us more and more elves.

i'm not sure this is fake. AI usually botches those elf ears.

They all have the same "glowing outline" that indicates a light behind them shining onto them, which AI could have issues to replicate as consistently across all characters. The armor on Turalyon and Lor'themar is also sound, something AI easily botches 99% of the time. The one thing that makes me halt is the "wristband" on Turalyons right hand, it blue/red and has some purple dangling from it. That is something from his real art. AI could have easily botched that detail

I mean that has literally been the plot of the Amani since TBC. The elves stole their land imprisoned them. Zuljin escaped and led a rebellion against the elves.

Why create a High Elf race when there are Blood Elves and Void Elves? They need to give them more customizations.
None of the Windrunner sisters are Blood Elf! I hope Lorthemar and Thalyssra are the main characters! We are in quelthalas and we should learn more about our solar deity Belore!!

Because players still want to play as high elves officially - hte ustomisation options make it completley unecessary, but fantasy has always been the source of customsiatio, not hte other way around. So it matters to them that you can playa s a high elf.


I mean I'm not bothered either way, the factions hardly mean anything for me to be concerned, playing a blood elf means next to nothing now for being on the horde, it's just having hte character model, and once you have it, it feels pointless having it again on the alliance - you might as well play the horde blood elf. Being on either faction offers no qualitiative, sotry or anything meaningful for you to care about being on either except for ancient loyalty.

Alliance hte good guys, Horde the ocol guys? Even that has no meaning now - you just don't care if ietherwin or lose.

In such a case as this, focus should shift back to the individual races, with the horde and alliance just serving as a generalumbrella of allegiances rather than a nation or empire - I feel this isbetter anyway.

I acknowledged playerbase skewing Elves and Humans. Orcs, trolls and tauren follow right up. The game is better with a choice for everyone.

I don't for a second believe they'd omit Xal'atath and Alleria from being cinematic wallpapers. It doesn't look like there's more to scroll to or anything.

Elf Azshara is also really weird.

All three of them are in different art styles. It doesn't add up at all. It's gotta be fake.

1 - it has been years since we saw Lo'themar the last time, and he is married now.

The stach is a dead giveaway it's fake. No actual artist would make that error, but everywhere in the endless matrix of numbers the AI they likely used is based on there are strong correlations encoded between "beard" and "mustache"

There was a blue and silver high elf crest in the recent dataming build, was it assigned to anything? I totally forgot.

Dunno about these pictures, but i can't say much because i thought all the legit leaks about dracthyr were fake in DF.

Another minor detail, why would Azshara in her elf form have a completely different outfit than the one we just saw from Legion Remix?

I think this is the most important part. Any significant divergence from Human Male/Female and most mogs look like ass. Elves work reasonably well. As do Zandalari, Draenei Females and other roughly human shaped that are not crouching. Everything else and it is a clipping nightmare especially if it is shorter or more round. I remember early in the AI thread someone had asked the AI to make some WoW pandaren and the males were all human-proportioned YIFF furry bait and I just immediately thought, damn if Pandaren looked like this in game, transmogs would look great on them and so many more would play them.

I think Orcs also look okay in a good amount of sets, but otherwise I agree- less human-like races distort your gear way too much for it to look decent. If it weren't for this issue, I'd mostly play Tauren and Draenei, but it annoys me way too much.

Even Elves aren't completely immune to it- they have the right shape to make most armor look good, but the ears and eyebrows clipping through nearly everything irritates me. But that's a small issue compared to what other races have to put up with.

There isnt a reason to assume what we are told about the Beledar is wrong though, given it's not presented as part of the lies told to the Earthen.

Most likely it's as simple as it seems. A giant chunk of Azerite that pulses between light and dark for still unexplained reasons. I still stand by my initial guess that it will be explained as what happens when you have a confluence of Leylines, and that you would find ones like it pretty much everywhere on Azeroth where that is the case, for instance under the Sunwell.
