Yup, I've got my hopes to the moon, if it's anything less than the one leak with all the features I'll be a tad disappointed.

I fully don't expect a class nor do I personally want one, but I do want spell customizations, ethereals, and starting zone changes

It was so lazy looking that if you were a pessimist like me at the time, it felt possible, especially if you thought that WoW was going "maintenance mode" more or less.

From all the fake leaks we've ever got, this one was the most "legit" one when it comes to the amount of coverage by content creators, even posted by wowhead and all other sites.

I don't really care about quality of Wowhead which of course is questionable, but it is still the biggest wow related site that doesn't post every single leak, comparing this avaloren leak to whatever we got during this expansion reveal cycle, is like night and day.

Honestly, wowhead means nothing.

If MMOChampion posts a leak, it is legit. Consistently (and scarily so) they've posted most of the legit leaks while not posting any other ones.

Like, look at this and tell me how it's not INSANELY convenient how every single thing in this post was an actual leak.

Everything about D4 is 90% accurate, however:

Next WoW expansion is old world revamp title is SoA.

Obviously, nothing happened with that, however, could this have been proto-TWW?

It was really no different than any other high effort leak. The Slyvanas harbor one, the Northrend necropolis one, the fake dungeon journal Awakenings leak way back, the Shadowlands map. I never understood why people found this in particular convincing. The things being photoshopped onto a background were obvious, the AI slop usage was obvious, the fact that basically every distinct asset in it was some existing model was obvious, that someone had just copied the existing DF website was obvious.

All this leak did different was post several images instead of one.

I agree, this particular expansion cycle has had less, because there's little point to any of those effort-involved attempts when we already know where we are going and what the expansion is about.

Posters just glomped onto the D4 leakage to try and gain credibility. The same thing happens every cycle. A better fake leak will get posted and then a dozen shitty copy cats will pull things from that to try and gain credibility (see: Northeron).

Blizzard isn't exactly competent at keeping things tight.
Especially when 3rd parties are involved.

There has never been an expansion that hasn't leaked in at least some small capacity beforehand. TWW managed to make it until literally just before Blizzcon opening ceremenoy but the past few expansions have also been at Blizzard controlled events where they could keep an aggressively tight lid on things and any third party contractors were gonna have hell to pay if they dropped the ball.

It is decently likely that something will get leaked in the next few days, so if you really, really want to not chance spoiled, you should stop following the thread now.

I agree, this particular expansion cycle has had less, because there's little point to any of those effort-involved attempts when we already know where we are going and what the expansion is about.

Opinions vary, to me it's still the best fake leak and the point about having more images is why it was convincing, more work put to it than single still image, not only from alleged in game/cinematic pictures.

I think there could be still a good leak like that for Midnight, new races are the most talked topic, plus you can come out with revamped old zones and other features fakes, but this season has the worst leaks so far.

I'd rather see more explosion of dragons and wrath of the bolvar leaks to be honest. At least those are funny.
